The Old Lady’s TORTOISE (Hinduism) and DRAGON (Taoism) are symbols for WAVE (energy), both are analog with MAGEN DAVID (Judaism). "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is the metaphor, and also similar with allegory of rituals Thawaf circling around the Ka'ba and Sa’i oscillating along “the sinus” Marwah-Shafa during the Hajj pilgrimage (Abraham). YIN-YANG: energy-particle . CROSS (Christian) and SWASTIKA (Buddhism) are symbols for “Balance of Nature.”
@Ozscii Well said. In ancient Greece, if someone committed a particularly horrific crime, the Gods would condemn him to live forever. Seems fitting. Eternal life = eternal boredom and eventual insanity.
for those who hate the audio, sorry! i didn't want to use my own voice and i thought if i used a text-to-speech program it would help condense it and keep the focus on hawkings words and not my voice. thanks
Nothing will happen. It is just another populuar superstition nowadays just to have something new to focus on. There are too many misinterpretations to it, and the claims of what will happen are just ridiculous, not to mention that nobody could possibly know what is going to happen, cosmologically speaking.
why are you burning the book "infinite jest"? i didn't like the book either, but i don't think i'd go to the trouble of burning it to ashes. that's alot of hate and not very carbon neutral.
God must be beyond space, time and matter to have unlimited power or to be omnipotent. If creation can create itself then is God an archetype for intention in creativity?
of course there is no God, Stephen Hawking knows this but he does not want to insult anyone. I know the existence is a hard concept to grasp but we cannot just make up assumptions of some creature creating everything. I have read a brief history of time and it is just the beginning of the explanation of the extraordinary place we live in, all the dimensions we have discovered are just the beginning. Our brains are much to simple and small to grasp the concept of how the universe started.
I think we are yet to really form a concept of what we could ever imagine God to be. Which came first the chicken or the egg? To me is like saying which came first cause or effect? Imagining God as a Deity existing in time, with time being a property of the universe that God created?" simply doesn't make sense
It's beyond our intelectual capacity. What I said in my essays,
"God is a postulate: you can neither deny nor affirm"-Mikong
At the end of TBHOT, Hawking tried to understand or at least rationalized through words what could have been in the mind of the "creator"... And it's one of the best thing of him being better than Einstein as a "scientist". Though not as a thinker.
Why think about anything? the mind cannot stop thinking (apart from death) the mind evolves and with it brings ideas that once never existed, as humans we are different from other creatures because we have the capacity to manifest whatever we like, and are only held back by time. Science can't prove the existence of God, yet.
We exist to be glad to have life, and to experience the joy of sharing of our selves and good things with one another. We are made in the image and likeness of God, to be meek and inherit the earth, as the sons of God in peace and br0therly love. That's my intuitive leap.
I heard a bit different explanation: we were created so that 'God (that) is love' could share His immense love with someone - with us. Still, the whole Plan is maybe infinitely complex. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter why are we in time and space, it is important that when we get out, by accepting Jesus, become clean in spirit,to be able to come back to Him that is only Holy.
Every religion of worth, has the reward at the end as a result of doing the right thing here in this life. Indeed Jesus teachings when put into practice here and now, will create heaven on earth. That is the most important. Sow to the kingdom here.
As a computer programmer and system designer and analyser, I have to say the human being, the world and the whole interaction of it all shows Jesus principles of the God perspective. That what we sow is what we reap and chain reaction to all. If we all did Jesus teachings, this would be heaven on earth. It's nothing to do with religion, its a matter of following the way of truth which gives life, even eternal life.
Although I agree with this notion that society has the power and responsibility to fix much of its problems, I can't help but cringe when I read your words. I mean, children suffer from leukemia and can die when their families are displaced by natural disasters. By what means would doing "Jesus teachings" end these problems?

However just 15 seconds into it my ears were complaining, not at the content sounds amazing, but the sound quality is horrific.

Noumenal concept of Kant. why think about it?

We are already made Holy.
Read ACTS 10.
He has made us holy.
Indeed we are temples he wishes to indwell.
It requires a new mindset to with God in spirit and in truth, for religion has us falling short.
But being joined with God is the start, for then our deeds are good deeds if indeed HE is living in us.

No, it's what I said. Yeah, I'm 100% sure. What you say is just a side affect. It is God's will, yes. But it's still secondary.

Actually there is much healing in emotional well being. My wife healed from cancer, by changing her thinking and emotional state.
The ways of eternal life, are to simply be at inner peace, and then let that be shared by all.
It's like an internal computer program which effects everything. Stresses, pollution and the like, are factors as well.
But as a machine has parameters, so does living.
