I first heard this on a "space music" concert and didn't catch the composer. For a couple years I tried to find who did it, and stumbled across it. So I bought it on an album with the Durufle Requiem, too, which is also sublime. Thanks for posting.
@AIRXscapeMusic Hi there, Do you attend the 10am service or evensong every Sunday? Why not subscribe to our ccathedralchoir on Youtube? Also visit the chestercathedralchoir.co.uk to keep up to date with what the choir are doing. We are working with the Director of Music to get more examples of our choral output on to our youtube channel!
@williamhhay Normally just the 10am service, but i do aim start to going to the evensong :), i suffer from mental illness and feel incredably safe inside the magnificent cathedral, especially whilst listening to the choir. I sometimes make the wednesday service also, but this depends as im usually at school, but i sometimes get time off just to go :) and i have just subbed now
Just had the joy of hearing Chester Cathedral Chior today, in the Celebration of Arch deacon Donald's final service before being appointed Bishop of Peterborough!
Was one of the most amazing experiences, the chior sounded so crisp with sweet harmonies really made todays special service with all 3 Bishops one day not to forget.
Thank you So Much, the music has really reignighted my faith.
I am not am not at all sure about Heaven but that piece of music is just sublime.
