I don't know what to think about this new game. I personally wished they had just re-made Super Metroid with all the new technology.

SM was in the top 5 of the best games ever created. I thought it was amazing when I was six years old. I came back in my twenties and played it and guess what: its still amazing.

Why do people hate Nintendo Wii so much? I love it, the best exclusive games of today are for Wii, in MY opinion. The rest I play for PC. Of course there are great games that are exclusive for PS3 or X-Box, but if we want to play them, better buy all 3 video games or play them all by a good PC with good (and very complex) emulators.

Well, my last video game was a Mega Drive 3, 1994. Since than, I've allways played by PC. But games like Metroid Other M made me want to buy a Wii. And I'm gonna!

I don't like how this game is looking, I think Metroid Prime held very true to the original 2D Metroids, in terms of platforming, map layout, weapons, and the level design was so mind blowing, I think it's a shame retro aren't developing Metroid anymore. However, I only played the first Metroid Prime, so maybe if I played the others, I'd be sick of that style and look much more forward to this new game.

The black guy is Anthony Higgs, his name is mentioned in the entro which you can see in the floor gameplay videos. Adam is the one in the blue uniform, he says "Any objections, lady?" at 0:45. If you played Fusion, you'll know that he used to say that to Samus while she was in the Federation Army.

supposedly, you can switch to 1st person view at will, but you can't move your feet while in it. and while in 3rd person, the game is, for the most part, on rails, meaning, you can only go left, right, up, and down; no forwards or backwards into the depth of view or towards the background; which is just like the other 2D metroid games.

@JBworld29, according to Wikitroid (Metroid Wikia if you haven't heard of it) states that Malkovich dies sometime prior to Metroid Fusion, and chronologically, Other M comes right before Fusion. I'm not sure if this is true, but I believe that Malkovich is rumored to die in Other M.

I have no intention of starting a debate but I personally don't think that this game is going to be that great. The game looks amazing but I'm more of a fan of the Metroid Prime Trilogy. But I am really hoping that this game explains who was following samus in the ending cutscene of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

This game looks a bit too cinematic for the wii and the wii isn't meant to have such great graphics(in my opinion).

The Wii is capable of fine graphics, the cinematic and gameplay look really good. Expand your horizons, the Metroid Prime Trilogy is not all the Metroid out there, besides this looks like it's a blend of Super Metroid and Prime which any fan should be excited about. Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden was amazing, I can't wait for this..

the wii can produce decent graphics but it pales in comparison with the 360 and ps3

I have only played the Metroid Prime Trilogy and I loved it

I haven't played super Metroid(which I'm guessing is a gameboy game and I don't own a gameboy)

The point of hte game is that samus aran hasnt fought in a long time but then when she uses the suit again it has new upgrades and another metroid infected it so thats why its called other m because its like prince of persia the 2 thrones when one side is good and the other side is a more powerful better and more helpful side

If you look at 0.42 you'll notice that "any objections (lady)" are the same words that Adam used when ever he'd give an oder to Samus according to Samus. Samus speaks of Adam in Metroid: Fusion, so I have reason to believe that the man who said those words in this preview was Adam of whom she spoke of.
