These arguments are pointless. Interesting the opinions expressed when people try to discredit the Bible and the life of Jesus. Have you ever wondered why they are so passionate about a thing they care nothing about?

Somewhere there was a smart boy, who was going to discover warp speed, and bridge the gap between humanity and the cosmo's.. but then a preacher got to him at birth, brainwashed this crap into his head, and now he's scared to even step into a lab. thinking the scientist working there are actually satans demons trying to overpower god with there technology.. i imagine this is the mindset of christians. they're all afraid, and they live to die.. very sad when looked at from the outside perspective

Science is a wonderful profession. God has given us the mental ability to invent amazing machines and technology. We actually live with no fear friend.

Religion is old school (as in ancient) propaganda that the people in charge put in place long ago to keep the wars raging in order to keep the rich rich and the common folk under their thumbs. Christianity was Constantin's only hope of keeping his kind in power after the fall of the roman empire. Obviously, his scheme was very successful because the roman catholic church is one of the most powerful in the world and dodos are still buying the same old crap without having questioned the source.

No one that has ever been sick has been healed by prayer but many have been healed by science.

Have you ever heard of the black plague? There was not one life spared because of prayer. In fact, it was mostly the religious community (monks, nuns, priests) who died because they were exposed to large numbers of sick people.

However, thanks to science we have vaccines that could have prevented the plague altogether!

If the people of the dark ages invested thier money into scientific research instead of giving it to the church, none of the horros of the middle ages would have happened

Nobody "gave" them knowledge, those scientist worked hard for what we take for granted.

If God answers prayer don't you think we'd see more Christians surviving these disasters? If they would stop praying and try to find answers maybe they would still be alive!

I know that prayer has the ability to change the mindset of the person praying but so does meditation and it's you, not an outside force (God) that's intervening.

Atheism/theism refers to belief or lack of belief, and Agnostic/Gnostic refer to knowledge. So if you don't know if there is a god or not but don't believe there is you're an agnostic atheist. Which is what all atheists are really because anyone trying to claim absolute knowledge is crazy. we need to quell this perceived difference between the two
