In my view both of them are right and wrong. As for what Dr Javed Ghamidi said about ayate tatheer he is such a Gustakh e rasool when he says it is only for ajwaje rasool. In Fact it is written and proved from Sahih Muslim that ayate thateer came for Panjtane Pak. The word Maula has many meaning and in terms of succession of knowledge, tasawwuf, saintlihood and gaudance Imam Ali is the successor of Prophet Muhammad saws.
