  • The supposedly low percentage of atheists in American federal prison is an urban legend, based on an unverified claim made by Rod Swift, who claims he got it from the Federal Bureau of Prisons even though they don't track that kind of data.

They do track that kind of data in England, and it shows that non-religious represented about 1/3 of the prison population in 2000, significantly higher then the national average. Google hosb1501.pdf

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • good work here

  • some really good stuff here

  • @robvlob....It certainly is likely that church attenders witnessing those magicians performing the "eye trick" would consider it a miricale from God if said magicians had given the credit to God. But here is the clincher, there are no magicians who can read a drivers license from a gapping hole in the head where an eye once was. So I still give God the credit for doing a miracle. But I will admit that there are con men taking advantage of Christians wanting to see a miricale.

  • What exactly is that picture at 3:42 ?

  • @Oskoreii A lynch mob. Citizens would take it upon themselves to be the judge jury & executioner of an individual or group of people in the USA they where predominantly black, who presumably done something to deserve death as punishment. This was practiced even as late as the 1960s sometimes with religious justifications.

A dominate group of racists known as the KKK are most often associated with such lynch mob atrocities & identify themselves as Christians.

  • @robvlob Thank you :)

  • All Hail the Majestic Macaroni Monarch. Down with pretenders, t hat bogus Flying Spaghetti Monster. We all know he was made up. Be no more infidels and mockers. Repent and believe in the MMM, The One True Pasta and we shall have peace and pasta for All.

  • Your oppinion matters very much to a number of people who have learned that they can trust what you say.

  • I'm with Aron: if you have never rode a motorcycle... you have never had a religious experience. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

  • @Gravija1980 Riding a motorcycle is the closest one can come to flying and still be on the ground.

  • @AronRa, Even in my religious days I thought the Big Bang was most likely correct, but if it is any consolation, you have handed me my ass several times, all via your vids, but still an ass-handing is an ass-handing, eh? Peace and Pasta.

  • I'm with Aron: if you have never rode a motorcycle... you have never had a religious experience. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

  • AronRa, RUN! It's a DALEK!

  • "I was never a fan of the big bang cosmology, but when I tried to argue against it with three proffesional physisists they handed me my ass" - legend!

  • Your KID is a DALEK!

  • I thought it was my bird at the end!

  • The reason why there are starving children is because there are too many mouths to feed. And anyone who tells you that "there is plenty of food but we arent feeding them" chances are that person is unfamiliar with sociology or economics.

Anyways AronRa, I would love to hear your opinion about procreation/overpopulation. Should we establish a one-child policy like some parts of China? I'd greatly appreciate any input.

  • 3. Baring more fruit (children) in the name of God

    4. Saying abortion is sin (ironically Christians get more abortions and the bible condones babies being ripped out the womb)

So its basically a SELF-FULFILLED prophecy; the earth has always been under constant flux. Its just we are being pushed into marginal, dangerous areas due to our need to procreate. And religion only bolsters procreation.

An exponentially growing consumer species + finite planet = DISASTER.

  • People claim that the "prophecies" of famines wars and pestilence are being fulfilled because they are getting worst. And you know what? THEY ARE. But what is the difference between the wars famines and pestilences of today compared to the ones occurring before the "prophecies" were written? Thats easy; they are happening on a WIDER scale. Why? because we are OVERPOPULATING. What causes overpopulation?

    1. Healing/feeding ppl in the name of God

    2. Saying that birth control is sin

  • What was the film starting at 9:12? I really like that guys films and wanna watch that one as I don't think i've seen it.

  • @kairobinson The movie at 9:12 is Ghostbuster, probably Bill Murray's best film.

  • @Atrofia2.... If you had seen Mr. Cowing's demonstration in person and if he had two perfectly good eyes and he said that one of his eyes had been put out when he was a child but then replaced by God when he was grown, you would say " Yeah right, I'm sure that you had one eye put out at one time." You would believe that he always had two eyes. But if you personally saw him read from a gapping eye socket you would then know of God's healing powers. Thats why he has only one eye.

  • @StrikaAmaru......Mr. Cowing probably never made the news, at least that is my guess. I know people in my area here in central OK who remembers him but most likely there is no documentation about him.

  • 1:20 Looking over USA statistics, it's very hard to believe that religion attracts good people: there are 8% atheists and 8% deists in the states, and their representation in the prison system is 0.209%. Going by that, you could make a good case that atheism, or at the very least, rejecting organized religion, is what attracts the good people.

  • @AronRa......There's nothing wrong with being skepticle. However, I stood within two feet of Mr. Cowing and watched him remove his glass eye. I plainly saw into his head and saw the empty eye socket. I had a handkerchief taped over his good eye as well as my own hand over the handkerchief ( I had volunteered to help with the demonstration). He didn't know me and I presented him with my DL and he read everything perfectly as well as DLs from a few of my friends. God does miracles, always has.

  • @behindeverybush1 if God do miracles why do he still have a glass eye? I will answer you the question. Because GOD ignore people who are missing body parts. He just hate them so much that actually not once in recorded human history God have heal any lost limbs or eye in this case.

  • @tranquillity4all......I don't know if the media ever covered the miracle or not. It's been a long time ago. I first saw him read without an eye when I was about ten years old and then much later when I was about thirty years old ( I'm 54 years old now). Many people has seen it, it's for real. I'm just telling what I've seen and I am 100 percent sure that the guy was for real. God does do miracles.

  • @behindeverybush1 An easy trick to duplicate. I used to live in Vegas. Lots of people did that one. Some people believe it. My own father once actually believed that Doug Henning really had magic powers. I suspect you're in the same category.

  • @behindeverybush1 Maybe the media didn't cover this story is because it's a HOAX. You need to present credible evidence to support the existence of a god.

  • @AronRa....You may find this interesting. Twice in my life I saw the same man (Ronnie Cowing) read anything presented to him from his glass eye and then with the eye removed he read perfectly from the gapping eye socket. I know it was not fake because I volunteered to help with his demonstration. He demonstrated his miracle to churches for several decades and always gave God the glory for restoring his sight after tragically loosing his eye as a child. To me, this is proof of God's existence.

  • @behindeverybush1 Care to explain why this so called miracle hasn't been covered by any media outlet ?

  • @behindeverybush1 A quick googling of Mr. Ronnie Cowing's name shows no interesting results; is there anything else I can search him after?

  • @behindeverybush1

If Chris Angel, David Copperfield, James Randy, David Blaine or any other well known magician accomplished this. Would you still consider it a miracle & proof of god, or accept it for what it is, an illusion?

Now presume one or more of these well know magicians had anonymity & performed these same illusions in churches in front of congregations.

Is it likely that most would credulously believe that these magicians are performing a miracle?

  • I'm a bit new to some of the things I'm checking out, but I'm curious why you didn't go in to the description of non-religious numinous experiences in this vid? Just a thought.

  • When I was about 11-12 I had what I thought was a religious experience, and it convinced me that their was a god. However upon refection I have come to the conclusion that it was my imagination, and never have seeing anything since then I have read several excellent books from both sides of the argument and came to the conclusion that religion said its last meaningful words long ago and has since added nothing to the betterment of humanity.

  • Hey AronRa,

I was raised as a Roman Catholic and later rejected it in favour of agnosticism and then atheism. Could you elaborate on the things that made you change from being religious to secular? I'm curious about why some scientists remain religious while most become atheists.

  • Nice Idea for the "what if you're wrong?" thing!

  • Hey mate, could you link me to the sources you used in the video? I just want to check out the hard stats for myself (as any good sceptic should do).

  • @bjzaba Apart from the one unlabeled chart -which turned out to be from New Zealand- nearly all other references include the newspaper headlines or other sources in them. Be specific. What are you looking for?

  • Why is it that Christians or any religious people think that they are the only ones who are charitable? I am not religious at all but I still give! Not because I am compelled to by an imagined overseer but because it is right to do so. So in other words, if the Bible, Koran, etc. didn't tell you to help the less fortunate, then you wouldn't?

  • @jimbamboozled

There is no reason to help anyone less fortunate. They are a waste of space and resources. It is time for us to grow up and stop pertending that everyone should have the same rights. The point of existence it to survive at any and all costs. There is no room in todays world for things like pity and charity. If we are to survive we must prevent the weak from reproducing and passing on their defective genetics.

  • @Arcflash67 There is also no reason not to help anyone less fortunate.

  • It may have already been answered, but are you at a BBQ when you made this vidoe?

  • The ending of this clip is hilarious.

  • 2:09 Scientists with B.S. Ugh, lost ins translation much...

  • I had a "religious" experience tonight while driving home without any reference to any god or gods whatsoever. I was contemplating the vastness of the universe in terms of space and time and the absolute insignificance of my presence in it when all of sudden I felt utterly relieved of the crushing responsibilities of this life and felf more free than I ever had before. Awesome huh! :)

  • i'm a big fan of your bird AronRa. I think he should be in more videos. Just my opinion =)

  • LOL...DAMN BIRDS...GOT TO LOVE THEM!!!

agree with you 100% ,I don't really believe in the big bang, but your right...the only real explanation we have as far as believeing in reality, but on the other hand...I don't really give a shit....why look back at non-sense,and look forward to enjoying and learning what we have now and what we have not found out yet

if we keep looking back,we'll never go forward...but study history so we don't repeat our past, not dwell on history, and stump ourselves.

  • 5:55 No Helmet! C'mon AronRa your a role model (not sarcastic^^)

  • Fucking dinosaur screeching away in the background. :)

  • lol that bird gets him everytime!

  • It's just resting...

  • It seems that there is a common mistake where people misconstrue the word, "trust" with the word, "faith". Trust is certainty based on past experience. Faith does not require any such qualifier. Do you trust your bank with your money or do you have faith? It can be argued that both terms are applicable but one is more correct than the other. Using the apologists train of argument, doesn't that make our banking system also a religion?

  • @HomercidalOne Go to your online dictionary and type in faith. it fits your belief. I am not trying to convince you of God. That is my belief. Your belief is between you and God. I am questioning your psuedo-science.

  • @bethaddjkp

I already looked up the definitions of each word from several sources. Yes, there is an intersection on many points and I acknowledged that in my last post... but, where they differ (in this context) is the application the word used by apologists. If you replace each time they use "faith" with the word. "trust" in their "evolution is a religion" hypothesis, it loses it's argument impact. It's an appeal to emotion. Now you explain to me why banks are not religion.

  • @HomercidalOne if you replace the word evolution with the word candy more people would buy what your selling. Your logic is dizzying

  • Comment removed

  • @bethaddjkp

You do not know what my beliefs or my God are.

For argument's sake, I will agree with you that evolution is an religion. Now what?

  • @HomercidalOne you are right I dont know your religion or God but I also dont care I am not trying to convince u to be a Christian I am calling into question your psuedo-science and how it takes faith to believe in the miracles u claim in the name of science

  • @bethaddjkp

"using the evo's train of argument doesnt that make our banking system science?"

I'm not claiming it is a science, I'm saying it's a religion. How am I wrong?

"I am calling into question your psuedo-science and how it takes faith to believe in the miracles u claim in the name of science"

In other words, "Evolution is wrong and evolution is a religion"?

  • @HomercidalOne It's a bank it's neither science nor a religion, but I think you already know that. Yes Evolution as a science is incorrect and takes a great deal faith to believe much of what it claims. And yes there is US Supreme Court rulings that state evolution is a religion and they refer to it as Secular Humanism Look up Tarcaso v. Watkins

  • @bethaddjkp

I understand the "evolution is wrong" part but I am just trying to understand why it is so important to establish evolution as a religion. Is it not enough to say it is wrong? Saying it is wrong AND religious makes it more wrong?

  • @HomercidalOne All men EVERYWHERE wanto know why r we here andhow didwe get here, hence all the different religions. In Genesis God says He created the earth and man. Evolution was invented not as science but to refute what God said about his creation. All religions give their versions of who made this earth and us. andthis iscuz ucan Look around andu can see creation and design ineverything. Evolution isjust another religion tryingto explainwhy and howwe r here and refute God's claims..

  • @bethaddjkp

    "All men..."

Fair enough. I can accept that and thanks for explaining.

  • @bethaddjkp

Thanks for the reference. Yes, it does mention secular humanism but how does that equate to evolution? I did some more research and found a case (Peloza v. Capistrano School District) in which Justice Black's footnote formed the basis of an argument in which teaching evolution amounts to teaching a religious idea. It did not get too far. I tried to find a ruling where it specifically states secular humanism = evolution. Do you know of any?

  • @HomercidalOne I rarely send anybody to wikipedia for reference material and I am sure there are other places that explain it as well, but go to wikipedia and type in secular humanism and it explains it reasonably well. u will often hear evo's say im not religious I dont believein God oranything. SecularHumanists believe theyre God. God says, Ican tell u how theworld ismade readGenesis, SecularHumanists say Ican tell u how theworld was made read the origin of species. we both have our bibles

  • @bethaddjkp

It does not say "All evolutionist are secular humanist" nor "all secular humanists believe in evolution". You imply secular humanist=evolution. I don't see an irrefutable connection.

  • @HomercidalOne Look up the definition of secular humanism it applies. If the definition fits it applies What you are saying about secular humanism, all secular humanists are not evolutionists, is like me saying all Christians arent Catholics. They might not be Catholics but they still are Christians. What is funny or even hypocritical, is that for Christianity people want irrefutable proof but for secular humanism/evolution a theory is adequate.

  • @bethaddjkp "it's so obvious that it is obvious" hardly qualifies as a legal definition for evolution being a religion as stated in Justice Black's paper.

  • @bethaddjkp Secular humanists do not believe they are "gods". They aren't Five Percenters. Also secular humanists know more about science than the average bear so they will not point to the Origin of Species concerning the formation of the earth, they will point to geology and cosmology.

  • @HomercidalOne Evolution is not a religion. Evolution is a theory pieced together by evidence. There's no church of evolution and there's no praise and/or worship of evolution. Scientists constantly test these theories, search for new evidence etc. so one day we might fully understand the world. Religious folk just say "god did it" and that's where the investigation ends for them.

  • @Danthepest1

I never said that I agree with his viewpoint, just simply that I understood. You cannot disagree with something that you do not understand it.

  • @Danthepest1 All religions dont have a church, but more importantly, in religion a church is not a building, it is the group of people that practice the religion. There is plenty of praise and worship going on in evolution/secular humanism. Just for ONE example read some of AronRa's comment sections. If that isnt praise and sometimes worship I dont know what is. This is leaving out the big names like Dawkins, Hawking, and Darwin where the real praise and worship is.

  • @HomercidalOne u better look up trust again it says nothing about trust being based on past experience. and trust certainly is not CERTAINTY as u claim. you are making stuff up. which is exactly what evo's do when they dont know. Just say I DONT KNOW when u dont know quit making things up and changing definitions to suit your world view. using the evo's train of argument doesnt that make our banking system science? Your argument is truly dizzying.

  • Your bike is awesome Aaron, is it a Honda??? lol just a joke, plz don't crush my head

  • Your religion of secular humanism may appear to make u smart in yur mind but yur religious beliefs in secular humanism can no more be proven definitivelyhence yur faith inguys named Charles n Steven than my religious beliefs in Christ can definitively be proven, my faith. We are both religious people we quote scripture from our Gods, me from Christ and u from Chuck. u are smart but u lack wisdom. That makes u dangerous If Im wrong we both take a long dirt nap if u are u have blood on yur hands

  • @bethaddjkp I think that the religious mind cannot grasp the notion of thinking independently. That is why consistently religious apologists must try and assert that atheism is a religion and that we atheists follow Darwin or some other scientific mind. This is incorrect. And it is sad that you cannot possibly imagine your life existing without your mind being enslaved to a book, an idea, or some other entity, whatever it may be.

  • @nybgrus I think that the evolutionists/secular humanists religion cannot grasp the notion of thinking independently. That is why consistently religious evolutionist/secular humanists must try and assert that evolution/secular humanism is not a religion. It is sad that they cannot possibly imagine their lives existing without their mind being enslaved to a man's book, idea, or whatever it may be.

  • @bethaddjkp Wow. yet another perfect example of religiously twisted thought. By definition, atheism means "without belief." That is it. We much continually assert this because it is indoctrinated, non-free thinking minds like yours that try and assert we ARE a religion. It makes no sense whatsoever. Here is the crucial difference - I may like the thoughts and ideas proposed by a certain book and explore them fully. But if I find a better book - I WILL CHANGE MY MIND. You cannot. You are a slave.

  • @nybgrus it means nobelief in adeity, NOTwithoutbelief. Therearereligions without adeity, like yours.Aron admits that. So I believe in what I am told and I am indoctrinated and have a non free thinking mind. But u believe what u have been told and your a non-indoctrinated free thinker, can u say double standard. if i write a book that says 2+2=5 and you spell cat D-O-G will u change your mind? someone who thinks like ucanbe led to believe ANYTHING the communists call your type "useful idiots"

  • @bethaddjkp Wow. You are absolutely right. How could I not realize that I have been indoctrinated into thinking 2+2=5? I bow to your genius, prescience, and eloquence. I will now change my ways and instead slave my mind to religion. Which one should I pick?

  • @nybgrus THANKS u dont have to bow but I would like to be reffered to as "The Grand PooH BaH" and will refer to myself in third person. This is America, you can pick any religion you want. If you want to switch from Secular Humanism you can I would kill or die for your right to worship as you see fit. Put myself in harms way for 4 years for this great country where we both can worship/or not as we see fit. I also want to get a cool uniform to go with my new title

  • Great video.

Except, I used to support United Way. Untill I discovered they were financially backing international civilian disarmament schemes which, as a result, disarmed peasants/citizens in the face of increasing armed violence used primarily by warring religious fanatics throughout the world. The UW is too damn controversial.

    Otherwise, outstanding commentary!

  • nice i like bbq beef ribs. and beef jerkey. your so lucky and smart...oh you should put up a video of you bbqing i love watching ppl bbq. and make beef jerkey.

  • @AstronomyGuru1 If by "okay" you mean he went well as an appetizer for the barbecue.

  • i had to thumbs this after reading the footbar.

  • "God" is a (collection of) "force(s)" that we may or may not ever be able to understand or even detect that triggered what we perceive as the universe for reasons obviously not involved with us and our morality/human purpose as a whole. Therefore, purpose of existence to this force does not matter to us. What does matter is that we have limited consciousness and that our life is here.

  • AronRa, just to help out with your situation in which the physicists shot you down on countering the "Big Bang Theory" here is the simple truth. The simple truth, as is evidenced by religious folks in the first place, and pseudo scientists afterward is the idea of start and stop points. The mind of most humans is simply too weak and primitive to wrap itself around the basic fact that there are eternal forces. Time and Space are eternal. It is this absurd obsession with linear beginning and end >

  • If Im wrong nothing happens! we go to jail, peacefully, quietly, we'll enjoy it!.... but if I'm right....and we can stop this thing.....you will have saved the lives of MILLIONS of registered voters....

    XD

  • @AronRa Uhm what about tauism or budism? as far as religons being bad a totaly fucking people over.... I dont think that faith is bad or stupid. But it can be applied illogicaly or 'forceably' applied via propaganda and such and can become abusive. But having faith in my father to pay the bills even though money is tight. Isnt bad or even stupid I have no reason to believe he can make money appear but he i have faith he will come through and he did I dont understand your beef with faith.

  • @TheNorskestolthet Do you have faith that your father will pay his bills? Or do you base that belief on evidence instead? I mean, has past experience not shown that he is responsible? Because faith is a belief that is assumed for no reason and held with absolute conviction, and which you swear you will never reconsider even if you are shown to be wrong. That's why faith is both bad and stupid.

  • @AronRa If I may add a thought. I think that having "faith" in a father to keep being a good father would be better descrived as "trust" rather than "faith." You trust him to continue doing as he has always done. BTW, Aron, I just discovered your vids and I'm an instant fan.

  • @TheNorskestolthet I'll take Buddhism and Taoism over the Abrahamic faiths and day, this is a very biased statement because those religiouns are atheistic and vegetarian friendly :).

  • @TheNorskestolthet "tauism or budism?" You're going to hell because god hates bad spelling. A nun told me that once.

  • @TheNorskestolthet

ITs obvious its a flaw of human evolution and thats why we interpret it in many ways based on your culture.

Believing on an entity without any evidence it's irrational and by definition it is not a healthy way of thinking because it leads to irrational consequences.

  • 3:06 That's one thing I've never been able to understand. The three abrahamic religions always seem to invoke the name of the same god with which to kill each other.

  • u look like a cross breed of my uncle ronny, the big labowski, and some rly tough guy XD. ive watched many of your vids now and i decided to sub :3

  • deism is by wikipedia defind as religius claim.

  • @gooddarkjedi

Wikipedia is edited by Joe Blow, it would be best it you sighted a better source.

  • culd you make video about deism. it semes that deist use lot of fallacys. funny thing is that deist are similar to us atheists. until it comest to belive where they go mystic on you. most deist are smart but when it comes to god they just lock up. they dont use the same criterias for god as they use for unicors.

  • Brilliant ending :)

  • Aron's parrot should get its own channel if has so much to yap about.

  • I am not opposed to the concept of a deity or a morally founded social structure based on a deity or theology.

    However,

I am confused by the prospect of a deity that requires audience.

    And/or active acknoledgement.

    Just a thought

  • I can watch AronRa videos all day!!

  • I have Paranoid Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Dependent Personality Disorder along with being an Alcoholic and Recovering Methadone/Heroin Addict on 120mg of Methadone and a lot of Heroin every day. Yet I can still grasp Evolution and see the problems with Creationism/ists. Therefore THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IGNORANCE! I may have delusions, BUT I'M NOT STUPID! Good work mate!

  • Its easy, Religion promotes and spreads brainwashed domatic closed minded robots with limited autonomy... Secularism promotes evidence, rational debate, and individual choice.

  • Aron... do you keep birds... because you recognize their relationship with dinosaurs...??? just a question... unrelated to theism...

I'm not a fan of most birds... I'd consider city pigeons rats with wings... The parrots are okay... fairly bright... you can 'see there is 'somebody at home' in their eyes... and they do seem to 'reason... although I'd be 'risking it' to say they are more 'intellectual' than a dog.

But as I said its just a question!

  • I think that some studies show that certain birds can problem solve better than dogs and may even have a form of self awareness... Some can even surf the net.... Parrots, octopus, and pigs are natures most underestimated animals.....

  • @tempemonkey2323

My neighbor has a cockatoo, its pretty darned smart... and often times goads my dog into the stupidity of jumping up and down at the fence like an idiot, while it laughs its head off at the poor animal.

It keeps its beak shut until it sees the dog... then deliberately starts it off... until its chastised for annoying the Dog...at which point it stops and skulks back into its cage!

  • @MumblingMickey Parrots and corvids are both generally smarter than dogs.

  • @AronRa

Okay... I'm no biologist... so the 'smarts' sequence is what? Humans, Other apes, Parrots, Dogs, Rabbits, Snails then Creationists? lol

  • @MumblingMickey I think dolphins and elephants are the 2nd and 3rd most intelligent animals on the planet; then the other apes, parrots, corvids, octopods, and then pigs and dogs and the rest.

  • @AronRa

Nice rankings Aron, but I would definitely rate CATS ahead of dogs. Their brains are more similar to humans than to dogs, plus they are the only non-ape to demonstrate untrained tool usage. They have better memories than chimps & should be ranked overall just barely behind monkeys, but definitely higher than most dogs IMO.

  • @AronRa I suppose you'd have to define 'intelligence' first... and it seems no two educators or philosophers agree! lol..

To my mind any creature that stores information which allows another to 'reason' outside of their own mind which is accessible AFTER their death has what I would consider 'intelligence'

Dolphins do this with stones in shallow water leaving clues to where fish can be located for other dolphins! Other primates obviously 'teach' tool use! I'm sure there are other examples!

  • @MumblingMickey The list I gave was admittedly subjective and a very general impression. I doubt there is any linear metric by which we can accurately rate intelligence. Capacity and accuracy of memory, mathematic aptitude, speed of analysis, and level of comprehension, may all compete with the volume of information one is able to learn and the rate at which one can assimilate that knowledge. Those who rate as idiots on one scale may be savants on another, and not just in the spectrum of autism.

  • @AronRa Yep agreed mostly... There is a European soccor player currently residing in LA. called David Beckham.. not sure if you heard of him... if you ever hear him talking its obvious that he's erm... not the sharpest tool in the box... however as far as 'hand eye' or 'foot eye' coordination is concerned he is an absolute genius... and for sure there is a lot of math in intercepting a soccer ball kicked from a hundred yards away then kicking it over your head into a goal past a goal keeper!

  • @MumblingMickey I watch a lot of British film, so I am aware of David Beckham through "Bend it like Beckham". I even featured an image of him in my 'monkey video'. My wife showed me pictures of him (that she quite liked) and some of them showed his wife too. Very very nice. Is Beckham smart? I don't know, but he seems to be smarter than Tiger Woods.

  • @AronRa

Smart? Beckham? you gotta be kidding me!

I think my point was more of a 'what constitutes intelligence'

He's not smart intellectually... he would not be the guy you'd invite to a physics symposium... But his hand eye co-ordination means he's worth millions.

That does constitute intelligence does it not?

There is too much 'theists are wrong and therefore stupid' amongst the atheist community. Brainwashed yes... uneducated, mostly.. but stupid... unlikely...

  • @MumblingMickey As you're Irish, you may not be aware of our golf legend, Tiger Woods and his recent infamy. I only said that Beckham was smarter than Tiger Woods because Beckham hasn't yet been caught cheating on his lovely wife with 17 far less attractive whores and golddiggers.

  • @AronRa

I'm not a golf fan but I'm quickly becoming a fan of the infamous mr. woods and his inability to keep his pants zipper in the up position whilst passing any woman with blond hair and pasty white skin!

You gotta hand it to the man he kept it quiet for a while!

Beckham did have a bit of a 'sly one' in the 2004 with a woman called Rebecca Loos. she kept his text messages and sold her story to the tabloids. Then disappeared into obscurity after doing a few topless shots!

  • @AronRa ... btw, yes indeed... Irish... another country which claims viking heritage... you never know... my great great great great grandfather... might have hit your great great great great great grandfather over the head with a mace during some crazy viking boozing game!

  • " Beckham hasn't yet been caught cheating on his lovely wife "

Wow!! Are you a psychic in reverse?? Or hadn't you heard about Becks getting caught a the "textual intercourse" with some slapper??

  • @Tobytrim ...with 17 far less attractive whores and golddiggers? One interslut sexting on an iPhone doesn't really compare to that.

  • @AronRa Point taken Aron - but we were talking about his smarts , weren't we?

Not his taste in women, or his morality. Chatting up a bimbo on Iphone without deleting isn't too sharp!! - Lol!!

Sorry to to digress , I just read the original point.

His conversation wouldn't keep an intellect like yours riveted for long, he is a soccer genius.

He's married to a former spice girls - so don't expect another Darwin or Einstein among their offspring. if there's anything to heredity!!

  • @MumblingMickey yeh i would call most stupid because ignorance is when you dont know about something stupidity is when the evidence is provided but ignored but im ot really talking about theist just the creationist theist

  • @patrickledford420

Okay...you see there is a general correlation.. and indeed if you refuse to excercise the brain and fill it with ideas it can reason.. then like any feature of the human body it will simply cease to be effective... however it would also you'd have to admit It would very unlikely that all creationists are stupid.

They have no data upon which to make a call... Were you in the same position...you would make a similar call to theirs...regardless of intelligence.

  • @AronRa Maybe I went off on one a bit there.

What I'm trying to assert is that perhaps a different approach with creationists is required... one that does not underestimate their intellect, yet recognizes their lack of knowledge... use their own educational level to argue their poor view of reality.

I used this once... in one argument... it worked superbly! Then stupidity got the better of me... and I again resorted to entertaining myself with them!

  • @MumblingMickey He is English, not "European". Europe is a continent not a country.

  • @needabloodyname Yeah... i think I'd be aware of that.... sheesh

  • @AronRa Which is precisely why I do not believe creationists are 'stupid' . They are simply given data which is sanctioned as 'truthful' and kept away from data which counteracts that truth.... it would be unlikely you'd have to admit that there would be So many stupid people who all believe the same silly story....

So I know that education has a lot to do with it...as does basic intelligence.. but I doubt this is the whole story given the way the human mind works and gathers data!

  • @AronRa with rgarads to other apes... myself and the missus were both well impressed with the 'elephant' painting on one of your vids...

However I also had seen 'koko' the gorilla and her ability to convey how she felt about the world through sign... and her reaction to her pet kittens death! Very sad... you couldn't help but empathize with koko!

A better funded research of the other primates ability in 'language' is sadly missing!

  • It seems that people who have become non-religious after being me theists seem to be the most outspoken on religion, science and secularism.

  • @jimbob3332

    Bit like reformed smokers perhaps?

I'm pretty outspoken against religion... yet from an atheistic upbringing...

Then again I live in a country where the laws of the state may as well have been written by the pope!

  • thank you for telling him that his precious deism is NOT a theory...

  • How was the bird? Did you roast it as well? :D

  • lol fucking birds!!! lol!

  • Don't forget that religion has inspired many works of art, music and arcitecture (I'm not sure how to spell that, you know, buildings 'n' shit).

  • So has Depression and hard drug abuse.

That doesn't somehow make them "good" or "worthwhile."

  • @Macrochenia

I was in no way supporting religion, I was saying that something of merit came about through it.

  • @jimbob3332 Ya...and so has sex. So what

  • @handsomedevill1001 Well, it's like finding a wedding photograph in a ruin, it's a little something that's better than nothing. Again, I'll like to stress that I, in no way, support religion other than to support freedom and that I myself am an atheist.

  • @jimbob3332 Then, like myself and so many others, you are one of the enlightened and rational of this crazy world. That's good to know. Stay religion free. And good luck to you

  • They are confusing the word theory. Theories, in the scientific community, is an explanation of proven facts. Sesstreet is confusing the term "theory" and the term "hypothesis". Theories are based on proven facts.

  • @Kalex1974- They always confuse the word. Often intentionally.

  • "Religion is a placebo: why attack it, its harmless." Placebos are themselves harmless, but if there is a proven, better alternative, placebos are harmful to the point where it is unethical. See medical trial design.

Scenario: you severely wound a limb. you are given a "harmless" placebo, and are instructed to wait until it works (prayer). By the time you realize you should get medical help, its too late, your limb cannot be repaired, or you otherwise suffer. Was it harmless?

  • I feel your pain, man! I've got one of my own, and cannot even turn on the camera without her talkin and squakin. That's why I have so many videos of my parrot,...she doesn't let me in them!!!

  • Great on TAE.

  • fuck man are you ever switched on ..

  • AronRa's parrot is a metaphor for all the irritatingly forthright religious views on YT - a lot of meaningless squawking before they eventually "cease to be".

  • Bloody good video! I love the way you respond to questions. And the parrot bit was a funny conclusion.

    Education is marvellous.

  • I'm sure Aron's parrot is just pining for the fjords.

  • @AHPMB lol! its a super sketch.... maybe he didn't kill it... maybe its just stunned?

  • At first I was annoyed that once again, you decided to film yourslf whilst being heckled by your parrot. However, your reaction at the end was hilarious. So please keep the parrot in, he's a star. :D

  • Ya here that schizos!? We could see you the whole time! be Paranoid.. VERY paranoid!

  • They obviously sold you a creationist parrot!

  • The ending was classic!

  • lmao, I enjoy being right

  • I'd hate to ask this guy for the time....

  • That was hilarious)))

I thought he snapped the poor bird's neck, given his *sigh* after the second squawking)))

  • lol great way to end the vid!

THIS PARROT IS DEAD! IT HAS CEASED TO BE!!!!!!!

  • beef ribs.... mmmmmmmmmm

  • Point:

To assert Hitler was an Atheist reveals a devastating lack of history on your behalf.

    You can thank me now.

  • This comment was posted as if it were meant to apply to me, but must have been meant for someone else. Surely you don't think I ever implied that Hitler was atheist.
