Ustaj kato!
Beautiful Bosnian song. Thanks for sharing. Till 17th century all Bosnian Othodox and Catolics were declared as Bosnians of Orthodox, Catolic or Muslim faith. One third of Serb are of Vlah Romanian ancestry, one third from decend from Turkish soldiers and the rest is mixture of Slavic tribes. The Serbs were never majority in Bosnia.
Yup, true...all true..Vlahs had a strong national feeling, and Serbs from Serbia were in Bosnia just before the WW1 in order to convert Vlahs into Serbs, so they would strenghten the army.. Serbs are very mixed genetically, unlike Bosnians who come to 52% from the same genetic structure: I2, which is the native European gene..So go figure who is the majority..
This is a traditional song from Bosnian yes, but Bosnian Serb originally, made famous by the Vasilija Radojcic, famous singer of sevdahs from Bosnia & the Kosovo-Metohija in Serbia. Before WW2, Serbs were the majority indigenous peoples in both Bosnia and Kosovo. These are traditional Serb songs = check out the group "BELO PLATNO" for more traditional Serb songs from Bosnia and the Kosovo-Metphija
brilliant ! i absolutely adore Sevdah music and i've never Mostar Reunion do this song, but that isn't a big surprise, so thankyou for introducing me to this song and gentle melody xx
Hm, requiem, I don't know if I like that song very much. Its fine, but to me, it's nothing wow. Just one of the Bosnian songs, you know... But thanks for suggesting anyway and thanks for listening. :)
Bosnian cocks on the bike:) GREAT STUFF! All thanx to miss A. , and her literall translation! CIAO BAMBINA! anyways , folx, Musicians You are making this World a happier, better, more colorful place And whatever ya do, play, record, publish it's all for the Good?!or? ;) We can feel it, see it, touch it, Live it The Music is everlasting and majestic Enjoy your Life as much ya can F minor or Ab major,it's all just a point of perspective? ;) DEATH TO FASHIZAM! LONG LIVE AGRICULTURE
You can listen da Blues all ya want;you can make love to it, cook dinner, or strum da guitar,but-always a butt there .BUT...when you walk south side, in the middle of the dark, summer, night, and it's hot and humid as hell;you have two big circles around your armpits;you are little drunk, little high, little high on Life
and after crossing of the street where the faces are unwelcoming and fiercly protective of their little piece of them Blues;
It is, as you said so, natural for B. to reply in B....some of us don't know English...luckily...i do :)
My comment said something in the line of :
the voices sound processed too much, there's no constancy between the voices...
Everything else is perfect!
The rhytm, espec.!...
Love & Strength
p.s.
nowdays da Blues is usually understood and loved by them white ,middle aged, guys...black brothers , seems so, are lost in their pursuit of cheap rhymes and beats
what about the rest of your comment where you imply that non-Bosnian audience is too easily impressed? And that Turkish, Persiana and a cock on a bike are all equally exotic to them, non-Bosnians.
I still believe that one doesn't need to be of any particular nationality to feel and hear music, wherever Music comes from. (that's why I asked you if us, the white, should not be able to recognize good blues only bcs we aren't black.)
I'm not sure what you mean about the voice, I think VB did an awesome job, as usual. Maybe its a question of personal taste. I'm pretty mad about it, I love her style.
For the blues, you might have a point there, but I dont see the connection...
I understand that bosnians reply to bosnian songs in bosnian language - fine.
But as this is a collaboration between a bosnian ( she ) and a non-bosnian ( me ), I would prefer people to comment in english, so I'm able to read it too.

No, kako god, svejedno je lepa.
