This song was a radio hit when I was small boy and was always played while I was learning how to ski in the mountains during our winter holidays with my parents.
I danced with my husband to this at our wedding. It wasn't our first dance, but dancing to this meant the most as it was later on in the night and we finally had some time together.
Always reminds me of Christmas 1998 - great music in the UK chart! This, B*Witched, Boyzone, Emilia...all in the era before Britney Spears and over-sexualised music!!
Heard this on radio this morning, almost had forgotten what a superb song this is, one of the best nineties songs out.......it does have a slight sixties flavour to it, which is probably why it sounds so good. thank you for posting aceofbaseilovecars.
ace of base, with a little motowm sound in it, at the start even maybe a little rod stward sound, maybe they liked some of his music at sometime, great song, n1ukwriter
OMG!! I was looking for title of this song more than half a year. I heard it three times in radio and the melody got stuck in my head and i really fell in love with the song. :)
Dedicated this song to a lovely dog Bonnie. She was died in a carcrash 1999 and the driver disipeer and left Bonnie dying. I was so sad a long time after....
I bought this album. I was a bit disappointed because i was expecting for something more edgy and not so pop from ace of base after the unrepeatable songs they had in their 2 previous albums. i definitely suggest "The Bridge". I also dare to suggest one of my songs which could be in the same category as Always have always will:
I've always like this song, but I must ask everyone to listen to the first four seconds of Where Did Our Love Go by the Supremes, and the drum sequence at the start of Dancing In The Street by Martha and the Vandellas. I am convinced that both those were sampled on this track.
One of these...

I thought this sounded like Diana Ross's "Chain Reaction".
Anyway back to Ace of Base this isn't bad but knowing me I am actually a old-fashioned guy.
Their music from 1993 and 1994 is better then this.
boogs2007 4 months ago
@boogs2007 diagree buddy 93/94 music really good but they truely nail this sugary pop sound

You don't have to agree with me it's just an opinion everyone has one.
I just hope that we can still be friends because I like Ace of Base too.
I prefer their early 90's music, That's what I was meant to say it just didn't come out properly.
