  • Also, Hans Island = Danish, you stupid Canadians.

  • also greenland, faroe = Norwegian you stupid dane;D

  • The attempts of intimidation committed by Canada (Military bases) and Russia (Nuclear fleet) will have no effect against the decision of the UN. The nation which is given the region by the UN is protected against such primitive tactics.

It'd be a real pleasure if Denmark got all the ressources; then they'd have another chance of earning big € like Norway did with the oil given to them by a pissed (drunk) danish politician.

  • The decision of the UN means crap all. The UN is a

dysfunctional political forum that has no teeth & holds no political weight in the territorial claims of sovereign powers & can do nothing to stop limited wars over religion & land & the UN bougeois WILL NOT DICTATE TO CANADA WHAT IS THEIRS IN THE ARCTIC. What's ours will be ours & if any dumbazz

euro nazi thinks to strong arm us out if it, you'll be labeled fascist & your military sent back home to you

AS SCRAP, & all your claims LOST!

  • Amen!

  • Still desperate to keep up a failed resource. Give it up Corporates.

  • Of course the upper class doesn't care how many lower class have to die to secure the profits for their corporations. In the end the lower class pays the same amount PLUS the cost of the war.

No one should own it. We should ALL own it. The profits from that resource should be used to promote global infrastructure.

  • i agree BUT you know its not going to happen that way. The Imperialist history of 4 of the 5 countries (Norway excluded) doesnt make that too promising. but I'm sure Noway isnt above that either. I did critize the Canadian prof's remarks, BUT she is right when she said this could cause get conflict. I dont think its going to be covered in mainstream news, its a resource war waged by corporations. I think Canada will come out top, but its really hard to tell since its the corps, not the countries

  • If it gets sufficient attention, it seems to me that it would be an appropriate agenda item for the UN.

  • RealNews is the best, although this is the second video I've seen about the passage being under dispute. I agree with the one lady, this could and will be a big deal in the very near future. Not only for the oil but the money to be saved in shipping from China to Russia and Europe.

  • Greenland is a self-governing province of Denmark? Wow. Just goes to show my ignorance, I thought it was a sovereign country! Thanks, TRN, for being so informative!

  • I mean I'm always for putting the U.S. on blast, but that Canadian professor's argument just helps Canada's case. that those are Canada's waters. Can't say I haven't seen Canadian bias before, but her arguments just point the finger at the U.S. It's like saying "Nobody's allowed in the this space" but then Canada explores it when they think noone is looking.

Hey, but Canada does produce goos things, Naomi Klein and Steve Nash are 2 examples :)

  • According to the Law of the Sea, a treaty almost every nation has sighed, the Waters within The Canadian Archpeligo(sp?) are internal, since they are all within 200 Nautical miles of one another. The islands are also home to Canadian Inuits who don't want their waters becoming a passage way for every country. It also poses a major security threat to Canada due to Terrorism, with the undefended waters

  • Whatever, we really need to start thinking beyond oil.... really really bad.

We need to go to war with Canida anyway, they have 90% of their army at the US boarder... With Bush in the White House this should be reason enough to do a preintive strike.

Attack Canaida before it attack us

C'mon people take two seconds and share this channel. This channel should have a million subscribers and if i doesn't it's our fault.

  • Vektor: Good point. Anybody too scabby to donate should at least be actively promoting TRN. Use it or lose it, peoples!

  • blazer, this has been surfacing up in the news lately. Slow, but the exposure is new and everywhere.

  • Blazer: That was a bit immature. Not everyone gets their kudos. C'est la vie. Good job though on your foresight. Unfortunately people with good perception are often ignored by the less 'aware' masses.

RealNews - Thanks. Keep 'em coming. I'm donating :)

  • I know I was just really frustrated over the fact that it is just now being talked about. But kudos to real news for bringing it up.
