  • Where did you purchase your B&W Poly & most importantly, how thick is it? I really like it. I like it enough, I think that I am going to scrap mine and build one like yours. Thanks for the upload!

  • wht did you use to make air intakes light tight? just regular AC air filter?

  • where did you buy it

  • wot kind of light is that?

  • You can buy a grow tent for $75 on Amazon.

  • that fan must do your nut in

  • how many plants you growing in there?

  • Oh lastly I use Jiffy Pots to germinate the seeds then I do a direct transplant from Jiffy pot to 3 gallon pot. Good luck and great job and as always, Dont listen to the Haters, they try to bring us all down but it wont work!!

  • I paid 40 dollars for soil for 5 3-gallon pots, 1xbag of 3/4 rocks, all pipe and fittings, and a roll of 25'x10' black poly. Then I paid 28$ for a Mylar reflective roll 4'x25'. Bought the Mylar from the local hydroponics shop and bought all else at local Home Depot. Fun, easy and I get to see my progress and save money!! The dimensions are 54"long, 25" wide, and 62" high. Good luck on your growing man!! I only have one vent hole and one exhaust hole. Your room looks amazing.

  • Dude your grow hut is sick man!! You did such a good job! I made one today which is similar but I complicated it by using all black poly on the outside and Mylar reflective paper on the inside. I also used PVC but I used 3/4 just to make sure it is strong enough. Currently I have 2 incandescent light fixtures with two bulbs each for the "Veg" stage then I will switch to a High pressure sodium or Blue LED light setup for the flowering stage.

  • I got all of my pvc for $18 from lowe's, and black and white poly about for about $12 (10ft x 10ft x 6mm) on amazon. For $5 bucks I got two 120mm 65cfm 22w radio shack fans on ebay. It's not everything but as far as which you get for a tent it's definitely better to make it yourself.

  • I had the same idea,

So PVC pipes work good for this,?

  • ur a fukin dumb fuk y dont u jst put reflectors it well make it grow faster

  • @TheMexicanweed1 because white material, especially gloss, works just as good if not better

  • A hot glue gun isn't $80 :(

  • @warchild: plz answer: at what temp PVC becomes toxic? If you are growing plants and the plants are growing well, then that means your probably not over 85 degrees, which is still hot and could wilt your plants, but PVC will not leach at that temp. This was built to be cheap and easy for those people that can't/ don't want to buy an expensive pre-built tent. Thanks for the comment tho!

  • @R0TANIMRET i built one just like this but 2x2x5 and it only cost me right around $30, a factory made tent that size would cost at the very least $150

  • please tell me where all you guys are buying 80 dollar grow tents from?

  • @shortythapimp Amazon bro

  • same price but betr on ebay

  • @adolescent900: you are absolutely correct. This is a passive exhaust, but you could easily add some PC fan-type exhaust fans and your set! @r0tanimret: again your correct. Now days it may be cheaper to buy the same size tent. More people buy, more the price drops on commercial stuff. A the time of this vid, same size tent costed $300. Which would you have? Satisfaction of building it yourself, or buying one pre-built for twice as much?

  • @MyOwnFitness Horseshit, i have a tent 3x that size for $300

    you didnt even look.

  • @samljer where should I look for something like that? :>

  • @MyOwnFitness You said "More people buy, more the price drops on commercial stuff"

This does not work like that.

  • Very nice! But factory made tent about the same size or slightly bigger will cost you about the same money as you spent to build yours...

  • I have heard of some people saying that an intake is no good because it does not exhaust the air out well enough without the pressure to do so.

  • definatly makin one of these.

  • sooo did you ever grow any herb??

  • You need Exhaust holes at the top to suck out the heat because all the lamp heat will rise your bottom holes bring in the fresh air and your fan pushes it up and out your top exhaust hole if u dont have that youll have heat problems instantly the top side holes will help but if they were on the ceiling b better!

  • What is that a street lite?

  • bro wats the poly stuff? where can i get it??

  • You could have just bought one for about the same price made out of metal support, sturdier fabric, mylar, custom vent and passive intake holes, and support railings for lights. I also would not feel safe hanging lights on the pvc plastic, especially HID lights. People always think doing it yourself is cheaper, but you are buying the materials and tools individually for a premium which negates the savings of doing it yourself.

  • is that 1/2 inch or 3/4 pvc

  • @bama864 1/2"

  • @swanskee2 I got it at the local Hydro shop, but can also get in online. Looking back the only thing i would have changed would have been to make a 2 more cross members of the sides. It was very strong, but i have a 20-25lb light hanging in it, so it worked but i would have liked to make it safer. Thank for the reply swanskee2!

  • what did you use in your vent holes, it doesn't say

  • @marshall477 sorry i didn't post that. I used the rain gutter vents that go over the top of rain gutters so leaves and junk don't go in (rain gutter department at Home Depot). then i used some black window screen stuff i had lying around and extra B&W poly to make covers. Very simple and the covers make it light proof. Sorry for taking 2wks to get back to you, i just moved.

  • awesome tent! Im actually online looking for parts to my DIY Tent. 1 Question, you dident show the top of the box,. Is you light hanging from PVC. If so that makes me VARY happy and Ill be buying parts TODAY !!

  • @blakkmask thanks for the reply! the light is hanging from all 4 corners and centered in the room by chains looped over the PVC frame. Good luck on making yours. please feel free to send me the link when finished.
