MISS YA BROTHER.

  • Somewhere...a "blue lights in the basement" party is needing this song for the couples to get tight...and warm...and mellow.

  • (Posted by Youtube Stream for iPhone (yst.me) on behalf of MakotoDaicho at twitter)

  • To me, this is the best that David Sanborn has sounded. To me, he was at his peak from 89-93. Best tone I've ever heard on an alto sax.....period!

  • I really love that guitarist ahahahahah

  • dave is so funky! look on james browns album hell! you will see dave sanborn is listed on some of the cuts. he did some sessions work with mister dynamite so did the brecker brothers

  • who is it? who's the f@cker that disliked this?!??!

  • what mouthpiece is he using?

  • @yosoyunmono Vintage Dukoff D8 that had been modified a bit.....

  • Dudes this video has no dislikes. lets try to preserve that for at least one amazing video. I hope some asshole doesn't come along and ruin it. How could anyone dislike this?!

  • @iop9709 LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • Tom Barney played with Miles Davis, so he can wear what he bloody well pleases.

  • Schitterend groovy soulfull nummer.

  • Sanborn is the SAX MAN!!!

  • This is classic sanborn funk,,,,,Luv it !!!!

  • I just want to point out that the guitar or bass player behind Sandborn is wearing biker shorts and aqua socks.

This adds another layer to the performance.

  • That is a sax blowin fool..mercy! Saw him in the Candle Light District in San Diego...awesome!

  • @FunkadelicHigh Same here! Wife and I saw Sanborn's trio at Anthology in San Diego, with Joey Defrancesco.

  • I dig it... I DIG IT DEEP!!!!

  • great video!

  • lol-Hiram, yeah, lying down is easier than getting up! God bless your crazy ass.

  • nice groove

  • Sanborn was the MAN not Kenny G!

  • @Theknopf Duh

  • @Theknopf you can say that again...

  • Watch my videos with high Sax interpletando Djavan, Ed Motta, Roupa Nova, ... Thank you.

  • REALLY makes me want a whiskey & water to listen to this!

I am sure King would approve.

  • Now THAT is music - so, so saweet.

  • Crazy one handed solo by Hiram!

  • the guitar player is a genius

  • What a fine performance.

  • This song is awesome. Eric Clapton does a nice solo on the album version.

  • David Sanborn is my hero. wish i could play like he can

  • Good job, but so pale compared to King Curtis's original

  • What a boastful fool.

He forgot, that it's actually a David Sanborn concert.

Leaving the stage in such a way is such idiocy... I wonder, how is it possible, that his wireless connection worked even so far: Hmm...

Did you see that someone tried to take his guitar? :)

  • The Hiram guy seem to be an attention whore.

I really wanted to see Tom Barney (the excellent bassist).

  • oh my haha...

yes attention whore XD....its just showmanship ;)...but i gave u thumbs up fot the comment because it clearly takes overhand

  • Oh thank you.

I'd already forgotten about that one.

  • I saw him perform this live recently. He went on before Tower Of Power, and he was better than they were.

  • i dont believe that! (;

  • only because T.O.P did a real short set, and they didnt do my fave song.."so very hard to go" :(

  • Sanborn IS soulful!!!!

  • I love this song because of it's raw pulsating sexuality. I don't care what color you are, you gotta have true soul to musically translate emotion like that.

  • nice!!

  • so cool !!

  • all the muscians on this are so good.

  • classic sanborn! RIP Hiram.

  • Looks like Hiram certainly got the most out of life!

  • Nice hair!

  • Groovy !!!!

  • could someone please put oliver sain's version on here

  • Sanborn is like the only jazzist I know that plays sax and pimp out that white fro of his, not that there's anything wrong with that, the man's just got soul!

  • yes, Hiram passed away on July 25th 2008.. but sanborn is sooo incredible.. mainly, he is a nice, humble guy.. he loves my kids.. hugs them every time we see him.. they first met him when my boy was 10 and my girl was 8. now they are 12 and 10.. and we can't wait to see him next month..incredible sax man..

  • ha wouldnt surprise me if he was nice and humble.... most legends are, with the exception of tennis legend John Mcenroe.

  • Hiram Bullock strutting his usual crazy stuff. Great to see him doing what he could do as no other. Still with his old, trusty battered Strat. RIP Hiram.

    Soul Serenade, I love it!

  • Is That Hiram Bullock with him? Great Tune-- Sanborn is incredible.

  • yes he is! and i think he is death :(
