you guys shouldn't say bad things about Timbaland. He's a great artist, great singer and a great producer. I think he plays a important role in this song. Because, somehow, i feel the harmony of this is Timbaland's style... I don't know

well this is not really pop, is beat-instrumental with a great singer that makes anything sound good. Chris can probably do polka or bolero and still be great :)
i don't even know who timbaland is... personally i liked some of the chorus... (that's it) ... i will always like grunge or other music style when you ACTUALLY play the instruments...

look Chris is doing what he loves which is singing. Stop nagging him and bitching about how he should stick with Soundgarden grunge or Audioslave rock cause what he does is not up to you. We're his fans and no one is forcing you to listen to him. He loves doing this stuff and you know what? I think Chris Cornell has dominated every genre or style he's ever entered. He's a legend

Well, it's the fans' choice not to accept a rock-legend alive to do a boy-band performance style. It is very obvious to every true rock music fan why an artist should NEVER DOWNGRADE FROM ROCK TO BOY-BAND SH*T.

@ecartboy I agree, i was a listener of his material from the early 90's onwards but its time to move on. Just as in life we change and we need to change because if we don't our lives don't change and that can be said for Chris just as much as anybody. Timbaland i have very little respect for but Chris Cornell has every right to change his sound if he comfortable doing so.

@ecartboy Well said brother. Also, all these whining people should be made aware that in an interview with Guitar World magazine, Chris Cornell said that he doesn't really care what the fans think. He makes the music that he thinks sounds good, which, in my opinion, is the mindset every musician should have.

Regardless of style, he still has one of the most swoon-inducing (for me anyways) male voices I've ever heard.
I think this shows how well-rounded he can be, even if his best work is at the forefront of the grunge/post-grunge age.

This is a hard concept to grasp because I think of his brilliance with grunge and this is so... ordinary? I guess we're all not perfect. Chris is still my angel even if he's a fallen one.

As an artist I have to say two things.1st its about the process, and 2nd its about the work. Chris keeps working and he keeps adding to his knowledge. Every song cant be your masterpiece and every painting cant be beautiful. I like the sound of this song and if it WASNT chris cornell I wud say it was awesome. But it is and all that tells me is that this rock genius is going through a process. Ill bet any of you that with his next progression ull c y this was necessary and hell probly rok harder!

im a massive soundgarden fan ( not so big into audioslave, liked a few songs) and the same has to be said about this, Its ok, i dont mind it, they way i see it, if you dont try anything new, you'll end up singing the same shit over and over, and thats no way forward as an artist. props to mr cornell for not putting himself in ta pidgeon hole for the rest of his career.
