I CAN say that you cant compare Guy and Carrie's voice. Both are very different. I think Carrie was not the right person for this song. But then you of course dont like Guy's version. I CAN say that Guy is a better singer in context to this song for two reasons: This is HIS song and secondly he knows the material and the song was made for him in 2003. Great vid for those Carrie fans out there. I confess I stumbled upon it 'cause I typed in Angels Brought Me Here.
I've also seen the Jed and Guy Sebastian clips and I've got to say they are all good but Guy's is just different. Alot of emotion went into his rendition of it and it came across really well. As for his voice being weak..it's my understanding he's got a 4 octave range...that is rare.
I do not think there is anything unique about Guy's voice. In fact, he has one of the weakest voices with all those calisthenics that he does to conceal the obvious lack of range of his voice. Carrie did a much better rendition.

It was good but I must say Guy sang it better. And before a yank decides to rate this as a poor comment, at least put in Guy Sebastion in the search bar and listen to him sing this song.

Guys Version puts this to shame. She should never sing this again especially considering that someone with Guys vocal Talent and control.
And guy can sing high!!! Go listen to the Original Version he sung at the Opera House when he won. He dd all the high notes with ease and 100 times better then this version.

Her version of this song at the final show was just amazing. Angels were involved in that rendition cause she was out of this world. I can see why Randy gave her a standing ovation. I've heard Guy's version and in my opinion Carrie's final show version was far superior. Her voice really soars compared to Guy's as far as this particular song goes.

Great vid for those Carrie fans out there. I confess I stumbled upon it 'cause I typed in Angels Brought Me Here.
I've also seen the Jed and Guy Sebastian clips and I've got to say they are all good but Guy's is just different. Alot of emotion went into his rendition of it and it came across really well. As for his voice being weak..it's my understanding he's got a 4 octave range...that is rare.

I do not think there is anything unique about Guy's voice. In fact, he has one of the weakest voices with all those calisthenics that he does to conceal the obvious lack of range of his voice. Carrie did a much better rendition.
