If it damages your hair, then don't do this! For some it might not be damaging! Just use rollers and jog on, mate. For myself, my hair NEVER gets damaged even though I use a straightener and hardly ever use protective spray. I don't even get any split ends, greasy hair, dry hair etc. But that's just me. If your hair does damage easily, then stop watching this video and stop complaining.

okay people few things:

1. her curls would be more smooth and curly if you use a flat iron with a curved edge rather than the flat sharp edge hers has.

2. flat irons are just as damaging as curling iron, sometimes more, because the flat iron distributes the heat evenly while the curling iron could heat only some place more than others.

3. also thermal heat spray... USE IT and you'll be fine.

Cute hair style but Taylor has a lot more curls and the curls themselves are much tighter. I believe the curls are Taylor's natural hair (of course with hair product) so trying to achieve that would probably require a lot more time and some curlers, not a curling iron/straightener.

The steam is usually just from the heat reacting with heat protectant spray or just using the straightener in general. If you didn't know that straighteners damage your hair whether you can see steam or not, then get with the program, using any heat tools is damaging, so get over it and don't watch this vid if all you're gonna do is remind her. Idiots.

It's pretty much impossible to style your hair w/ a flat iron and it NOT getting damaged in some way.

Plus, as long as your hair isn't damaged beyond repair, it's not really that noticabe. Unless your hair is just like that.

I straghten my hair almost everyday and its barely damaged at all, I have few split ends, and at the most, have a couple of flyaways. But whatever, haterz gonna hate.

She probably had a song in the background where you could still hear her talking, and then the video got taken down due to copyright infringment. when you twist it 360 twice, it makes your hair burn and puts crimp lines in the curls (but, only slightly visible in your curls - that could just be because your hair is dark - it really shows up in lighter hair). i only twist it 360 once.

but, i do love your vid - it was the one that helped me most. i just modified the technique. :)
