@ChrisCartwheel Yep, same band. The singer in this video was called Pasi Koskinen. The newer singer is called Tomi Joutsen. Like the bands name suggest, they're amorphous. They change :)

This song is from the album Am Universum, which was released in 2001. Pasi Koskinen was the vocalist and Pekka Kasari the drummer at this time. Their previous drummer and founding member Jan "Snoopy" Rechberger returned for the next album Far From The Sun (2003) which was the last one with Pasi singin. He left the band in 2004 and was replaced by Tomi Joutsen, the guy who sings on Eclipse, Silent Waters and Skyforger.

Pasi was good in his time, but I like Tomi J. better.

Met Amorphis in their Album Silent Waters. Didn't know their past. I see this now and i ......prefer this singer and THIS style to the one in Silent Waters. Although their melody still is amazing. This voice is much more expressive i think......now it remains for me to see everything older........

Pasi was limited, but at least his voice suited the music. the 'new' guy is wildly uneven and sometimes all over the place. he over emotes and sounds downright corny. The new guy's 'range' is also exaggerated.

i preferred the gentle melancholy of Pasi overall, but having said that, it was time for the band to move on just the same.
