a 300TDI would do just a good a job as a v8.. or even better.

if this isent the origional 2.25 motor its most likely a 200tdi.

@Overst33r there is absoloutly no way that the 300tdi can rival a v8 in terms of off road ability or towing etc, i know as i've owned both.

@Wakozzi Well towing, a V8 may exceed the diesel, although, V8 petrols are not soo good at deep water crossings. Diesels also tend to be more reliable. However you gotta love the sound of a big v8!
