  • i would say liquid magnet inside a rodin coil at the right power might levitate and at the right rotation of the liquid liquid magnet might be a ferrofluid because it might case a different reaction because north and south pole will separate maybe this will work what do you think

  • @TheSaltysack No. I don't think that will work. You need to do something additionally. No matter how strong a magnetic field is ... it won't go anywhere. It will just sit there being magnetic.

  • i dont think you shud give up. just refine your experiment further.

i wouldnt say that hutchisons work is totaly a hoax. i think there is probly very likely something that he is doing with the harmonics of materials basic propertys in order to incure various efects. tessla was also studying harmonics and i dont think he was a couke.

  • I'm making an experiment to work at up to 400-500 hertz with a Dremel tool. I should have it running in a month or so. This will be the last experiment I will do because anything more will require stuff that I can't afford to use and have no expertise in (e.g. superconductivity).

Hutchinson may have done "something" interesting ... but ... his hoax stuff discredits anything he may have done that was new. To keep your credibility, you can never lie.

  • So im sorta confused on how this thing is set up? Is it opposing magnets lined up and then spun on the outside edge of a disk? is that all it is?

  • No. Imagine an arrow denoting the north magnetic field coming out of the north pole. Then an arrow at the south pole will be going into the magnet. I want to rotate something very fast that moves ONLY through the same arrow orientation. One arrow should cause the object to go up and the opposite arrow would make it go down. So, if you mix the arrow orientation ... you cancel out the supposed effect.

If that effect is there, it will be difficult to detect because UFOs have very high power output.

  • @Bantokfomoki: Could you please send me a personal message? i would like to understadn this more. From what i see in the first picture you have all norths facing upward, and all souths facing downward?

  • That's just what it's supposed to be. You don't need to understand unless I can get it to work ;o)

  • @Bantokfomoki: It's not that i need to understand, its that i want to understand. I want to go to college for a Ph.D in physics hoping to study advanced propulsion for a career. I'm a senior in highschool.

  • If you want a degree in physics, you should obtain it from a credible university and not from me ... or ... from the internet. Get some good physics textbooks and get a head start.

  • @Bantokfomoki: I'm taking ap physics and ap chemistry right now

  • Good ... keep at it and in less than 50 years you'll be as ignorant as me ;o)

I just ordered a 50 dollar magnet for CMS Magnetics to do my experiment. I tried to use my 1/2x1/2x1" neodymium magnets that I used before but couldn't get them assembled in my little box. One flew out and nearly hit my head, then it disappeared ... somewhere. I gave up and broke down for another 50 bucks. Oh well, it's my last experiment on this idea ... so ... what the heck...

  • @Bantokfomoki: Try magnet4less. com. they seems cheap and have good sized magnets.

  • @TheUFOeffect: I would also try using long ring magnets. You could just bolt them down into place. Or if its easier use an electromagnet.

  • Already oredered from CMS ... but your place was about 4 bucks cheaper on a 40 dollar item :o(

  • I agree , Hutchison cannot be taken seriously , also I have lost respect for Boyd Bushman , as he levitates a coil over an aluminum surface , nothing to write home about ( Faradays Law) and he calls himself a scientist and again has a high profile. So I find it is rare for me to believe anyone . I am not into conspiracy theories but I would say from listening to prof. Kaku that there are exciting things going on behind closed doors all the time.

I admire your honest educated approach.

  • Boyd Bushman is attempting to pass off what they use to sort metal out of garbage as a UFO mechanism. I guess it would seem plausible if you were in high school. I used to think that might be it ... but then I started to shave.

  • So far as I know there is no legitimate work in this area ... at least not in the physics end ... I mean nuts & bolts. There's a lot of speculation all of which amounts to "somehow ... " with no testable model. That's what I'm looking for ... a testable model.

  • i know little about him in fact i have only known his name for about a week from, the documentary tesla the race to zero point. its a shame people do that shit it realy sucks for people doing legitamate work.

  • Hutchison effect is fake. He fakes so much he can't be taken seriously. Sorry.

  • have you heard of john hitchison and the hitchison effect? might be a conection if what he is doing is credible that is.

  • I'm going to do it over with multiple improvements that should make it as much as 1000 times more sensitive ... but for breath holding, I'd want 100,000 - 1,000,000 times. My magnets are overpowered by the earth's lowly magnetic field at about 2 feet using a compass as a detector. Ufos affect airplane instruments at 100 yards and more. You can imagine the forces involved.

I'll post the results in a month or so when I get around to doing the experiment ... but ... don't hold your breath ;o)
