  • Of course they're slim...it's not america.

  • No wonder everyone is slim. Their all walking!

    X

  • @Xaltus Reason, they are slim, its because they eating so much vegetables, seafood (my favorite is fish), and many healthy but some meats...

  • @Xaltus when I went to california last year..i had no mode of trans po coz its mostly cars where my brother lives..and yes me and bf only walked even for 2 hours and i slimmed down.. >8/) WHAHAHAHAHA... so lets all walk and follow the japanese way! XDDD

  • Wow, it's so busy there! Can't wait to visit Shinjuku and the rest of Tokyo...

  • Interesting video in that you show things people wouldn't ordinarily show. The traffic regulators at the beginning are regulating the flow of people going to the horse betting location nearby. However, there is one point: The Japanese title is the name of the street you show at the beginning, not "streets of Shinjuku" That would be 新宿の道路. Or maybe someone more poetic could make a better title.

Anyway, KEEP POSTING! I love Shinjuku!

  • awesome streets

    awesone district

    awesome city

    awesome.. *lost words*

  • weird...why does it say July 8th 1998 in the video and the added date to youtube says July 13, 2007?

  • "weird...why does it say July 8th 1998 in the video and the added date to youtube says July 13, 2007?"

I think it says July 4th 1998, which was the date that I filmed this.

  • o ya. my bad. july 4th 1998. was just wondering why you didn't upload this earlier instead of a couple years after.

  • Youtube wasn't created until February 2005.

  • haha!

  • looks like a bigger japanese version of times square.... cool!

  • Awesome city!

  • i've just got back from Toyko yesterday and i thought that Tokyo was amazing

  • that's one crowded street.

  • 7 :16 damn i need those sleeping skills

  • "7:16 damn i need those sleeping skills"

LOL. Oh man, dats nothing. All Japanese people have mad sleeping skillz like that. They can sleep sitting down, they can sleep standing up, they can sleep laying down on the cold hard concrete sidewalk. They can even sleep on a crowded train, while listening to train announcements in their subconscious. So they can instantly wake up 30 seconds before their stop.

  • I can see a lot of buildings and shops that dont exist currently. This city changes everytime I go to. Nice video.

  • Did the woman with the basket look at you at 6:07 ?

  • "Did the woman with the basket look at you at 6:07?"

Haha, I don't think she was even looking at the people she was handing the kleenex to. Those people that do that work are just like robots. Anyways I don't think she could have seen me if she tried. I was on top of the bridge.

  • There's nothing like the alleys of Shinjuku at night, no place I'd rather be!

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • that must be a pretty crappy job standing there all day making directing people and traffic

  • "that must be a pretty crappy job standing there all day making directing people and traffic"

Yeah agreed. Along with all the other crappy jobs on the streets. Like the tissue girls handing out the Kleenex, that nobody wants. The guys standing morning to night holding up signs for the sex clubs.

A trip to Shinjuku must be a really great motivation for most young Japanese to stay in school and get a degree.

  • this is the exact time we moved there..

    totally random..

    wow!

  • Those performers on the street singing those flutes and guitars. I have seen them in every part of the world I have ever been to. It's like i'm being followed or something.

  • LOL Yeah they are called Waykis.
