Inns, forced heals and Pulse of Life. The latter is limited to when Aerith is alive, and there aren't many forced heals on disc 2, so it's pretty much only inns for the last half of the game.

i have a question about this challenge, since its no item and no materia, that means only during boss fights correct? like, between bosses you can do whatever you want with item, materia, other characters, etc right?

No, the rules always apply to the entire game. The only exception is the solo lowest level challenges I did. In fact, I still have a few things left to do in those challenge.

so that means when someone dies, you either have to wait for those forced heals or go to an inn right? man...if it was anyone else doing this challenge i wouldnt think it could be done, but knowing your history with this game, i bet youre going to make it look super easy

Yep, if someone dies after the temple, you can only revive them at inns and forced heals. There are only a few forced heals after that anyway.

And yeah, many of the battles will look easy, but that's because they are easy. The hardest part of this challenge is figuring out the strategies, which I've already done. Of course, there are some damn hard battles too.

It's possible, but I have to use Cait Sith's instand win attack in one battle. Until that battle is uploaded, you all get to figure out which battle it is. Except those who know already, of course.

Only Physical Attacks, Limit Breaks, and Equipment + Low Levels. Kind of like FF VIII No Junction No Level Up, except this is going to be a bigger pain in the ass + I've always wanted to see how you pulled these battles off.

Hopefully this will motivate me to finally get rolling with my own. Still stuck on that damn Demon's Gate. And I don't even want to think what I'm going to against the likes of Carry Armour and Hojo.

And I have to say, this fight was surprisingly difficult for me. Cloud almost NEVER had enough HP so make it out of the reactor alive, as mostly every attack targeted him throughout the fight.

Keep it up Garland! I can't wait to actually be able to follow you throughout this challenge! ^_^

I has question. Are you allowed to use items to heal up the party outside of boss battles and regular battles? Or can you only use inns to restore the party's HP?

Well the biggest method of healing is limit breaks. The entire first disc hinges on learning Aeris' Pulse of Life limit break. Revives the entire party with full HP. That and Fury, and she can keep everyone alive indefinitely in most cases.

Disc 2 then falls back on using Yuffie and Clear Tranquil as the sole method of healing (aside from inns, obviously).

I personally haven't gotten past Demon's Gate in this challenge. Quite the pain in the ass, really. My bad luck isn't helping either.
