It's the underground world of music who are the actual musicians and songwriters of the world. It's sad really... You are problably one of the few DT-fans who don´t know that story! After the release of "Awake in -94, he and hes wife and some freinds went down to Cuba on a vacation. There he got a terrible food-poisoning that almost killed him. He trew up for a week, and the vomit destroyed hes vocalcords. Next week he had to tour in Japan on "Awake in Japan".

He spend 10 years waiting fo the vocalcords to heal again.

He didnt fully healed in maybe -03/04. Cant wait to hear him on the nxt DT-tour!!!!!

The closest I could get to this sound was a harmonizer set to -3rds. I also used a bit of an effect called "slow gear" on my Boss GT-8 which seems to soften up the attack slightly. Hope this helps pal. Good luck with it!!
