@zdsl83cii I wouldn't talk about other people - dead or alive - being in hell if I, like you, resided in a musloid shithole called Pakibullshitstan. @LittleVillage24 I'm a "pussy liberal" as you so eloquently put it and find it difficult understand why you think we can't also see him as a genuine hero. My father, like Bob Howard, was with the 5th Special forces. 2 Purple hearts, 2 bronze stars, a distiquished service cross and spent a total 5 tours in 'Nam. Your characterization is beneath me as I too find heros that still wear the uniform and man the fence.
I seriously doubt it, rather you're the kind of fucktard that engages in pedophilia when you're not defecating on police cars and the American flag, you low-life OWS scumbag piece of shit. You're such a tough ass when safely tucked away behind your computer. Lets see you sign off with your name and address then tough guy. I'm sure there are some patriotic war vets out there, that are willing to come and discuss some of the issues bothering you, you pathetic dickless peace of shit!
And i had the honor of meeting this man..He didnt brag or boast of his feats, he just did what had to be done and went back to work..One incident a viet cong was trying to do a drive by on a cyclo at some GI's Colonel Howard grabbed a weapon and he blew that guys head off handed the weapon back to the guy it was issued to and went back to his battalion and helped the supply sergeant out...Made no mention of it whatsoever.
Smedley Butler and Dan Dailey didnt face no Battalions with just twelve guys either now or get shot out of a chopper and had third degree burns...Colonel Howard came up the hard way and he did it right..And by the way there were numerous ARMY reciepiants who recieved the medal, Custer's brother Tom was a two time reciepiant. NOT one Marine was nominated THREE times! NOT ONE! this man should have gotten ALL Three of them for his actions in the field!
@Paladin1441 -Hey why the anti-Marine sentiment? No one can question the unbelievable courage of Col. Howard. But Butler and Dailey were no slouches either. And 'Chesty' Puller received 5 Navy Crosses and all of them could have been Medal of Honors as well when you read the citations.
When did the MoH become "once in a lifetime"? There have been 19 men who have received the MoH twice and I can find no evidence that the ability to win it more than once has been changed.
If this great man was nominated for three MoH, why was he not given the MoH with Two Bars to recognise the 3 nominations. Does the MoH not have a bar system? Would appreciate any explanation on this as it staggers me that a person who is nominated three times for the a country's highest decoration by helping out fellow soldiers with absolutely no regard for his own life does not be properly recognised. My deepest respect to Mr Howard, an exceptional man without question.
Being nominated only means a person has been "recommended" for the medal. His first two nominations were instead awarded the silver star. His third nomination was honored with the Modeal of Honor by Nixon. Now, Had he been awarded the medal the other two times, he would indeed wear two bronze stars on his ribbon - but NOT on the medal itself like most other subsequent awards of a medal.
If you take away Audie Murphy's medals he received from foreign governments (France), Bob Howard is THE MOST decorated Amercian in history. I had the great honor to meet him in person many times. God Bless him. RLTW.
I wish there was a way to preserve his courage pride and honor in a bottle ... to be kept on the table of President of USA with the nuke keys .. Label it .. BREAK IN CASE OF WAR. .. I hope USA builds a huge statue for him and names some military school after him .. frankly, anything will always be LESS than what he offered. A man who 101% brings meaning to the words .. @Whisper6911 But the SS did not fight for freedom, they fought for National Socialism. And the Americans where the one that liberated Alshwitz and the other concentration camps. And it is these same American heroes that gives you the right to critique them. Hell, if you said anything bad about the SS in Nazi Germany, you would go the way to the firing squad by the SS themselves in Germany under Hitlers reign. You might want to think about that next time troll
@Whisper6911 On the contrary, you should be the ones that should gets your facts straight. Remember September 11, 2001? Who attacked us? Exactly! We are in war because we where attacked, perhaps maybe you should remember that. Just admit that not only your ignorant, but your mindset is primarily set around the world of arrogance.. Nuff said
@Whisper6911 You idiot, the Taliban where housing Al Quaida in Afghanistan where they planned and conducted their operations. Just go ask Muhammad Omar himself (founder and leader of the Taliban). And perhaps you should go ask the civilians how many times they got forced by the taliban to fight and do their bidding. So please, tell me again about your oh so great wisdom
@Whisper6911 -To receive the MOH, it has to have been witnessed and verfied. So no one simply pinned the medal on him, he earned it.
Now, as for the objective for which he fought for, that makes all the difference. The communists against whom Col Howard fought against were fighting to enslave and destroy people, he was fighting to protect and free people.

All you America and Howard haters are just jealous of a great nation the whole world wants to be and a great soldier who made your soldiers pee their pants.
In other words Bob Howard was a war mongering prick. And 50 years in the military and he just made colnel?? Wow, the bastard must had a very bad attitude, after 50 years of service he should at least be a general.
@LACraig621 First of all, you really don't know what you're talking about so I'm not really going to say what's on my mind because you will never be in the same class as him. He was loyal to his country and served his country well, which is something you don't have a clue on. Second, he didn't serve fifty years in the Army. That was the total between military and government service. What don't you read more about the guy instead of talking crap like you knew him personally!!
@airassault11 Well you obviously don`t know anything about the military. Bob`s medal of honor alone should have got him his general star. No doubt he was tough but more then likely had poor leadership skills to be a general.
@LACraig621 I've served 24 years in the military (Army) and talked to people who knew this guy personally. His leadership skills were amongst the best and just because he didn't make general doesn't mean his career wasn't worthy. Again, instead of saying stuff downgraded on what he did, let people remember him as the great American he is.
@edwardpf123 No, he was a war mongerer, and if he had been a general he probably coulda had political influence and the U.S would be in the middle of WW3 by now. America had no reason to go to Vietnam, and whoever died there died in vain. Even former president Richard Nixon pardoned everyone who was locked up for refusing to go to Nam. That should tell you something.
@LACraig621 -He was a military pro. and if you knew anything about military men you would know they are the last to want to fight a war. They have seen it close up.
Now, the issue of should we have been in Vietnam is a different one, a political one, not one that had to do with Col. Howard and his great service to his nation.
It was that gutless Carter that pardoned draft dodgers and then got our people taken as hostages and U.S. service men killed in a rescue attempt.
@neothugx You go on ahead and trash whatever you are free to talk about... all the while you sleep under the blanket of freedom men like this provided for you. Man, sometimes I wish the nazis would have won, then you would know what freedom really means.
@dmorris41 yeah freedom means an imperialistic country has to mass murder people in order to "free" the world. you don't know shit man. I recommend you read a bit, think a bit and rid yourself of the propaganda that's enslaved your mind. have a good life bro, and I hope you'll stop worshipping murderers sometime.
@neothugx Lay off the pot, seriously. You dont know what it means to not have freedom. If you think America is that bad then maybe YOU should read a few from my library. Americans are free to do ANYTHING they choose fit for themselves. Why dont you look into the way Chinese citizens are treated? ..or North Korea, dont even get me started in African nations, the list goes on. Lets a your game, lesser of two evils, you name a country, ill tell you its dirty laundry list and what would happen if it
@airassault11 dude fuck that murderer!!!, god got him thats what happened and all those accolades don't mean shit when your burning in hell hahahahahahaha!!!
Not true that you can only receive 1 Metal of Honor in a lifetime. 19 men have received 2 including 7 Marines and only 2 men "Dan Daly and Smedly Butler" received 1 for 2 seperate actions. Dan Dalys were received 15 years apart. 1 as an enlisted man and 1 as an officer. But all said and done, Robert Howard was ons bad MF. Thank you sir for your service, I salute you.
@armsofjusticellc yeah that is true, but those were all receieved before 1906. Were talking since then there isn't aloud a 2nd medal of honor award. and if there was, he would have received three. thus, his badass-ness trumps all. true hero, to the fullest extent.
@benbelcher That was the stupidest comment I have ever seen. Killing our president of these United States? You some kind of terrorist there benbelcher? This decorated vet would have probably killed you before even thinking of harming our commander in chief.
Great video about a great man! God Bless Bob Howard, and all who currently serve as well as all those who have served and who gave everything in that service. BTW, just wonder what kind of scum voted a "dislike" on this video? Oh well, we know, don't we? Semper Fi!
@mihailolord you dont know how long he could of lived. his card was pulled. thats it. he lived longer than most of his genre. to be honest they should make a movie of this guy. like they did of audie murphy. what make me wonder is he spent 50 years of service and only got a col ?
Most heavily decorated soldier was finnish Simo Häya.

@man11withaplan nuff said indeed, but not in your favor.
911 had NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with either of the countries u want to war with.
9 out of 14 hijackers were SAUDI arabians.
one bomb accidentally fell on Saudi soil and they spent 2 weeks apologizing for it.
the number of civilian casualties outnumbers the military casualties (those occur on both sides) 9 to 1.
please tell me again about the benevolent united states...

man11withaplan 1 month ago
@man11withaplan and you know this how?
because it was told to you by the same guy who said there were WMD's in irak?
and why no caring about saudi arabia?
if this was about 911, wouldn't u want to do something besides bow to their sheik prick?
incidentally: the opium trade had a record all time low, as did the american heroin market during the talibans reign.
right after the war the price of heroin dropped to all time record lows.
Whisper6911 1 month ago
@Whisper6911 oh and btw Al Quaida doesn't fucking exist moron!
its an arbitrary label used to control your mind and make u hate whoever they want you to hate.
the truth is that these people are the same people who later became the northern alliance who helped u take down the taliban.
then they became insurgents, and then they became mujahedeem, and now they are insurgents again.
Al Quaide = The Comode.
the name actually refers to a local computer network.

general pinning a medal on your chest does not a hero make.
thats all.
somebody with authority thinks what he did was great, but these people are not
always moral, or even ethical, especially in war.
like i said the nazi's decorate their favored members as well.
all we really know at this point is that the guy was good at what he did, whatever that was.

Thank you sir for your service, I salute you.
armsofjusticellc 10 months ago

Semper Fi!
