this was a super cell that moved through. i got a funnel cloud vid from last year when we had all those tornado sightings
my car got hit by one of these lightning bolts i was backing out of the garage and the car shook and light up and a loud bang was heard. saw black streak of burnt paint
I was worried about my adopted cat and her 2 babies that she moved out of the little house we built for her to somewhere I don't know, she is a wild cat that I was feeding and taking care of, i feel so sad, I was really getting attatched to the three of them.
I have 23 minutes of footage of this storm as well. I live in Meridian, I got some pretty good shots of lightning. I am going to edit it and post it when I get some time.
GREAT JOB! Wasn't this storm AWESOME?! We arrived on vacation about 2 hours before this broke out, and we hadn't seen anything like it. We don't get weather like this in California....
@Truelight54 I put my D7000 on my tripod and let it record in HD movie mode. I had a total of 18 mins of recording time. I pulled all the lighting footage, slowed it down and put them together in order. I also dubbed in thunder sound. I also let the lighting run in real time towards the middle of the video. All that topped off with a song called "Lightning Crashes" and this is what you get.

It was scary....at first I was watching it outside and then the thunder started to sound like cannons going off.

That is awesome! I went to school there for 4 years and I don't ever remember being in a lighting storm that entire time? Very cool. :-)
