  • Kerri is the man. Love his Classic House Sound. It defines the early 90's Deep House sound!!!

  • 7 persons will die in hell.

  • Pur Magic!!! This is House...

  • Never get tired of listening to this all time classic, pure quality.

  • classic

  • Funky Sound founder DJ Dennis Funkin’ McFadden used to rip this. He knew just when to play it and how to introduce this track and many others a crowed dance floor. This record never ever had the same sound he (The Funkster) was playing.

    Man that guy could play...

  • Flawless!!

  • so deep, you could just dive into it

  • oh shhhhhhhhh... HOT!

  • YOU WANNA TURN ATMOSPHERES, SOUL AND FEELINGS INTO MUSIC? ASK KERRI, HE'LL DO IT!

  • FOR DADOU & JON

    ORIGINAL RED ZONE CREW

  • As Keri says about himself, "...always true to the underground." Go 'head Kerri...another great track from you!! And I fully concur with rob57uk.

  • Great track but some dodgy comments going on below

  • nice one...!!!!

  • Kerri and I worked together a long time ago, I was always facinated in his style of production...He's a very humble and sweet guy, not a bragger and his nose was never up in the air....me well I'm funky george ,and I did one track with him I wanted to do more but things didn't work out , and everything he did was absolutely beautiful though....

  • you could play this today and get a good reception on most underground house dancefloors

  • @Inglejuice .. Thats is because true house music is timeless. This joint right here stands the test of time. Originally from NY, My job has taken me all over the world. I was in Pattaya, Thaland at a club called insomnia, and heard this joint. I had to go up and shake the Thai DJ's hand cause he obsiously knew good music cause he had THIS JOINT in his crate!!

  • @gspin25

I used to tip the DJ in Prague in some basement when he played a MAW track.

  • the system

  • Basic elements... pure ownage.

  • respect ty

  • 80k views cuz es the man!!

  • Classic Deep House!

  • This is one of trax why House Music of the 90's was the best, it Defined the Calibre of producers! Shout 2 Kerri & 2 Fredy Sanon of Shelter!

  • I like this kind of music much more than HipHop. This is the new era of good times, happyness and a lot of love. Futur 60ties is just xtc!

  • P I O N E E R

  • its house wtf!?!???!?!?

  • @SkydiverShado This is not acid. It is classic NYC Deep House. BTW and FYI, I did not give you the thumbs down.

  • Killer track mate much respect

  • Checked out one of my old mixes from this era. This and Grampa, both by KC, are standout tracks. If you do not know the latter, I highly recommend it.

  • GREAT HOUSE my Friend !

  • this is awesome! so good!

  • oh yeah its all about where it started..chicago...anyhow... Kerri Chandler is my most favorite producer. He is the absolute greatest....

  • Cont3A:

But Kerri Chandler is one of those top Dj/producers from New Jersey, Usa as well that always brings a smile to your face. I like many others love this single from him alone...and he has done countless others over the years - what a Dj/producer he is...

  • Cont2a:

Ed the read and his wife Nancy had built up a label that was selling quite a few records here in England at the time, they were also helped along by the current trend that was for the "New Jersey Sound" from the city of New Jersey, Usa. We should not forget him and his wife either for creating such a label as well within House and Garage music.

  • Cont:1a

Its just another label from that period of time, the early 1990's that proved that there was so much talent coming from the city of New Jersey then the more traditional cities that were producing House & Garage music were seriously being challenged.

Ed the Red & his wife Nancy had built up a label that was selling quite a few records here in England at the time, they were also helped along by the current trend that was for the "New Jersey Sound" from the city of New Jersey, Usa.

  • I am glad that someone else recognises the times from the early 1990'S as this in my opinion was the golden period of House and Garage music.

Another person that I forgot to mention from the Area of New Jersey that was just as important for the music of the "New Jersey sound" was this producer.

His name is Edward Goltsman or his nickname was Ed the Red (*this was because he came from Russia & moved to New Jersey in his 20's). He & his wife Nancy built up a record label called "Bottomline" .

  • Cont4:

At one stage in London's Oxford street area (Or just around that area of Oxford Street, London), there were 14 records stores with all of them selling vinyl; and I would say all of them selling House and Garage music.

And that's just the Oxford Street area of the West End; what about the other area's of London such North London, South London and East London..... What a time it was....

  • redjam

you're absolutely right! I spent 4 years in row, every Saturday night at MOS , from 1993/97, what a beautiful people, what a celebration every weekend! long these times have gone. Kerri Chandler came to play at M1nt here in Hong Kong where I live, where house music is such sh1t, anyway he was sitting bored before his set: nobody knew who he was! did notice that, I went up to him to say hi , he was so happy and he said: your' the 1st person who come up to me and say hi!. not even

  • ..not even my promoter is talking to me! giving a sign to the man who was right next to him totally ignoing him! So I said, come meet my friends, and he came, stayed with us chatting and went back asking which record I liked and I said ' isis' . What a man, DJ's are the friendliest people on earth. long life to Kerri, for me one of the most influential god in House music! Thanks for the lovely Atmosphere, reminded me of the good old days. Peace. Paolo.

  • Cont3:

This was because many record labels were releasing tracks of the New Jersey sound, over in England before, in some cases they where available in stores within New Jersey or New York.

The vibe of the New Super Club at the time called "The Ministry of Sound", and the huge, huge influence of the "Illegal Pirate Radio" setup that still to this day is still around caused this to be so....

  • Cont:2

This was after Tony Humpheries radio success in New York on Radio Hot 97, & more importantly with the club in New Jersey called "Club Zanzibar".

But I will say this for the more Soulful sound that was "Garage" as we called it at the time over here in England, rather less so with the music of House.

London, was an important point in the spreading of the music to the world.

  • Cont:1

Remember also England, was the first country to recognise this sound in regards to giving its world wide image. I will go as far as this. London, was the first place outside New Jersey, & maybe New York to really play this music hard. Remember, London built a Super club for this music alone & invited first Larry Levan to host the opening night of - Ministry of Sound. This was after the Paradise Garage club, in New York was no more. He refused, & then it was offered to Tony Humpheries.

  • Todd Edwards I'm sure is from New Jersey, Usa. Another "cat" within House & Garage music that was making quality music from 1993. One of his big influences are MK, Masters at Work & Kerri Chandler; & by listening to this tune you can see why.

At one stage music coming from New Jersey , was known as the "The New Jersey" Sound. Remember from Nj you also had Smack Productions, Blaze, Michael Watford, Adeva, Burrell brothers, Cassioware, Tony Humpheries & David Camacho all coming New Jersey, Usa

  • awesome track long live the memorys of sir henerys cork...................the good old days. sammy

  • Intoxicating Track!

  • i have this record!!! house music never die :-D

  • Peace&Musikiller in paradise!!!

  • I first heard this song inthe mix back in 1996 here in New York ( WBLS ) but it had vocals.

Does anyone know or can post that version?

I loved this song and played that mix over and over. Please help me get the vocal !!!!!

  • the way i feel - tears of velva -king street 12

  • .....great...great...great track!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 日本人だれかこれ聞いてない?

  • what a track! this is great! Kerri is great!

  • panoramabar anthem!

  • めっちゃしぶすぎ!

  • Kerri u r simply the man. . .

  • yessir!

  • Simo ja Eva tänää räjähtää vittu miten kova jurri päälle ei vittu! Munat ja nännit pystys!

  • Great groove but without all of those repeating brasses...don't you think?

...but the compilation (naked m.) is filled with awesome trackz!

  • the repeating brass is the main hook of the track, the track won;t have an identity without it........

and every song or track needs a hook or a riff .....

  • i just heard this on miguel migs album

    Nude tempo One

  • Omar S played the vinyl at the Sub Club recently -Respect.

  • Class, pure class all the way. We are not worthy to worship at the altar of KC. He refined the sh*t out of this type of groove, ultimately reaching a point at which he could do just about anything with almost nothing. The very definition of minimalist. A beautiful piece of work. Thanks Ruffbizness, thanx Kerri and thanx to God.

  • @rob57uk Absolutely. Kerri. His Music. Pure genius.

  • @rob57uk any other deep house artists you recommend apart from chandler/dennis ferrer?

  • @knaim1 Manuel Tur, Adam Jace, Aki Bergen, Kevin Yost/Nivek Tsoy, Jimpster, Milton Jackson, Luca M, Terry Grant, Greg Parker, Andry Nalin, The Timewriter, Terry Lee Brown Junior, Lukas Greenberg, Babak Shayan, Roy Rosenfeld, Doomwork, Pezzner, Alex Caytas, Aleks Patz, Amir, Atjazz, Azuni, Bas Amro, Brendon Moeller, Shur-i-kan, Bucher & Kessidis, Central Avenue, Dale Howard, D'Julz, Cytric, Da Funk - anything on Dark Energy, Neurotraxx Deluxe, Plastic City, Freerange, Starlight, Static Audio

  • @Dodgy30 All the people that you named that make deep house, but no HERNAN CATTANEO?!?!

  • @BadBoriBoy lol No, not enough room to list everyone! Thought I'd stick to including the instrumental people from the genre - those who helped shape it.

Personally, I think of Cattaneo as a tribal DJ, far more like Oakenfold or Tenaglia, than a Deep House DJ/Producer - although his tune on UrbanTorque was excellent!

Other major artists missing include Motorcity Soul, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Scope, Catz N' Dogz, Edu Imbernon, Evren Ullusoy, Sezer Uysal, Kruse & Nuernburg, Agent Matteo.......

  • One of my all time favorite tracks!!!

  • Yeahh ! Real lovely Detroit bass !...Nice one S !

  • Detroit bass? how do you fugure?

any good producer in 1991-1993, from anywhere in the world (London, Italy, NY, NJ, Chi, Detroit, etc...) was following this formula of deep-house.

  • I just came!!

    Still a fuckin CHOOOOOOOOON!!!

  • chugger, style and sexiness, one the midnight hours.

  • This so ruled back in the day M.

It was one of those that as soon as you heard the bassline you'd head for the dance-floor saying to yourself, "get out of my WAY!!".

  • tru...still do

  • LOL.......defo that kinda groove!

  • Hello, ca......te !! :)

  • jajaja!!

    Pero sera..... ;-)

  • thicker than the mud

  • Alllllltime Favouriteeeeeeeeeeeee

  • YYEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kerri master of groove.

  • Awesome, awesome beat. Yet so simply, yet so advanced. Fucking awesome!

  • Kerri's gonna have 3d holograms of each singer for each song at the Southport Weekender. should be unreal!

  • Thanks for posting, this is really a good track. I`ve got this as well. Reminded me of being in Bagleys Kings Cross with special nightout called `the HARDTIMES`. Definition of KC sound.

  • Hardtimes! Not! the hardtimes!

One of the first nights promoting U.S House in the early ninety's in the north , if not the whole of the UK... bagleys was one of the HT tour nights...
