Pokemon Ruby: (?) Glitch Analysis

of course. when you have no pokemon and are in a battle, the games give you a pokemon, and that pokemon is missing number!

That "golden" Bulbasaur icon is actually just a bulbsaur icon but with a different pallete and if you use the right tools you'll find that the golden bulbasaur icon and the normal bulbasaur icon share the same offsets,

@Logan3172 whoops, didn't check the name. As far as i know, Ruby has a different set of codes that enable Missingno. As codes usually are different from version to version, because there's subtle changes in the game's coding. I.e. no Missingno. on sapphire with emerald codes.

on my pokemon pearl i have an action replay, and i hit the run anywhere cheat, then ran on water, and a psyduck with the cry of zubat appeared, so did a male, level zero no hp, pokemon called dddddddddddddddddddddl. it was shiny, but invisible, and later in the battle it transformed into bad egg!!! talk about weird! and now, from twinleaf to sandgem it says, "Dawn! Remember what your mother said? `dont go into tall grass! its too dangerous! it would be okay if you had your own pokemon, but..."

I think that pokemon, (?) is the glitch of a bulbasoar because it had vinewhip and when he was naming it, bulbasoar was it's sprite (-_-)

it's an unknown pokemon... it has an unknown moveset or anything so it uses the default pokemon for moves and some sprites. the default pokemon happens to be bulbasaur, so it uses it's sprites and moveset

Other times i have played PKMN Ruby it has been fine.

If you have tryed 2 edit it in someway then VB advance will probably do that.

If it does that Anyway you have a corrupt rom.

Hm... An analysis on the (?) Pokemon is that it is a Bulbasuar, or some really freaky equivalent. I guess it's that anyway because of the sprite when you chose to nickname it, and because of the moves the tutor could teach it. Kinda funny, since it's the grass starter in the first game. Heh.

There is no hacking involved, actually. The only thing I used was a cheat code to walk through walls. I dare you to try it with an action replay. Any time you enter the grass with no pokemon, that glitch shows up.
