  • This is good sunday afternoon liquor house music. We had a bootlegger that lived next door to us, and man come sunday, everybody would go to his backyard and drink, cuss, fight and have a good old time listening to the blues. Thank God for the good times and good old fashioned music.

  • I used to work in a big country/western bar in Bryan, TX in the early 90's. I was a bouncer, but whenever I had to stand in for the DJ for a few sets I always slipped this in. Even those rednecks got their groove on for Roy. Thank you so much for posting this. We keep it alive, we sure do.

  • I was born in '73 and remarkably, I remember this song! I was beginning to think I imagined the song but I am pretty sure my grandparents used to play this in the car. (We were from NY). One of the comments said this was N. Carolina flavor. Makes sense. My gparents were from there and that also explains why I couldn't ever find this song for years. Thanks for posting. This song puts me right back in my gmothers arms as a baby, dancing around the kitchen.
