I actually agree. Even IF Penny could fall for Sheldon (which I doubt), Sheldon is kinda asexual! The episode about this hot (but kinda crazy) girl who falls in love with him, but he just sees her as research assistant should teach us that!

Not to mention, Penny just threatened she'd lock him in the freezer in this scene, so they are far away from sexual intercourse! :p

So, was she just about to leave OR was she waiting all day at the door for Sheldon to show up OR has Sheldon scheduled "Talk to Penny" time each day? Because other than the hilarity of the joke (and it is hilarious), there doesn't seem to be much reason for Penny to be standing near the door at that particular moment.
