yeah well he admitted that he uses the same formula for his movies, he said that he "discovered" what the formula is for a good movie and he uses it every time, but it is a secret. and i love that when the happening came out and started getting panned he then claimed it was supposed to be a stupid "B" movie. The difference with B movies is that they are campy and don't take themselves seriously.

ANYWAYS, i believe M Night fancies himself a Hitchcock but with an utter sense of unmerited narcissism. Putting himself in every movie, as a sneaky character, like the viewer will take some perverse joy in seeming him, so stupid. And the Dialogue for these movies, NO ONE TALKS LIKE THAT!! IT IS AWFUL! If he just acknowledged he was horrible and didn't take himself SOOOO seriously, i might think he was funny and let it slide. But the fact that takes himself so seriously pisses me off.

Dialogue is something that gets to me too. I mean if a film doesn't have at least decent dialogue it doesn't seem worth it. How are we suppose to get into the story when the characters sound so fake. I could write better dialogue in a half drunk stupor. That's not a brag. Most people could do it too. Then his "twist" come on. See, that's how you can spot a hackneyed director. If they continually use the same gimmick.

He has this uncanny ability to take good actors, i.e, Adrian Brody and Paul Giamatti and give them horrible roles. Adrian Brody is a great actor and then what does M. Night do? He gives him a fucking role as a retarded guy. Yeah, that's like giving William H Macy a role as a mute. Fun right there. Paul Giamatti fared no better with this joke.
