Well, I read the article, from the looks of it yes they do plan to make a successor, however there is no mention of horsepower, or the type of gearbox being used. Hypercar and revolutionary are thrown around a lot, but often times mean little. Also important to note that hypercar doesn't necessarily mean fastest ever, and revolutionary doesn't necessarily mean more horsepower.

The real difference is supra is affordable for most people a mclaren lets face it never will be unless you win the lottery even then it will cost you around 2 milion as they are rare a fuck. So stop dissing the supra at least it delivers alot of performance for your money and reliability.

@krossen1993 All wheel drive actually causes vehicles it to lose power to the wheels through the drivetrain. Granted a lighter and more powerful supra MAY of stood a chance, but really the F1 is in a league of its own. Not to say there arnt supras out in the world that can beat it.. because there is. Unfortunately this supra in-particular was out classed in every way (note: Im a huge supra fan)
Oh and that is NOT the worlds fastest supra.

Well, I read the article, from the looks of it yes they do plan to make a successor, however there is no mention of horsepower, or the type of gearbox being used. Hypercar and revolutionary are thrown around a lot, but often times mean little. Also important to note that hypercar doesn't necessarily mean fastest ever, and revolutionary doesn't necessarily mean more horsepower.

Not the one in the video but the one people keep talking about. And btw McClaren haters, this was a STOCK F1. Look up the Le Mans McClaren F1 that won that race a ton of times and check it's specs. Supra's nice and all, but anyone can take a stock japanese car and put a shitload of money into it to make it go "fast".

McLaren F1 is faster than the Bugatti Veyron. Due to the top speed limit of the McLaren F1 the Bugatti Pulls away but that's at speeds well over 200mph.

@AntDX316 actually the F1 has 627 hp i think, but the F1 LM has around 668 HP, and the veyron has 1001 HP, what hapens is that the veyron to make those 1001 the car needs to go over 200 mp/h so between the veyron and the F1 could won. McLaren have a 0.55 hp/kg ,Bugati have 0.52hp/kg but McLaren poses a more aerodinamical chasis and use all the power to the wheels from the first inch,compared to bugati that release power in time and speed do to electronics and loose of traction. Power to weight is the key , extra power mean less grip,more electronics to controll it and so on. Bugatti beat an McLaren after 300+ km/h.
