feburary is not earLy to appLY at FAMU... loL!! i appLied in october && found out in decemeber. they get reaLLy busy w/ their students there && spring students. time for new admissions is beginning of yur senior yr so i cOMPLETELY DISAGREE w/ timeLiness. bt the ppL in the office are mean. i HATE them && financiaL aid office takes FOREVER to come around. bt pther then that, i agree w/ yur sayin. i STILL love my skooL. FAM-gotdamn-U ALL DAY BABY!!!
I was basing it on my freshman year experience when Castell was president. It actually got a bit better since Ammons took over. I made another video after Ammons took over showing my new found happiness with the school. I transferred out last semester, but I still love my Rattlers.
I had more problems reaching my advisor at the predominant schools than I ever had at FAMU. And as far as scheduling, FAMU was the only school that made an exception for me in order to take a class I needed for graduation. So, people can say what they want about HBCUs and FAMU specifically...BUT I'm a RATTLER til I D-I-E!!! FAMU-GOT-DAMN-U, Alright, Alright, Alright!!!!!
Oh, and I didn't say you had to have problems with each particular thing. What I did say was there are problems at every school and stated my own...as you did above. Again...have a nice day:)
Glad you're applauding my experiences. I'll take it. But, while you're at it, add to the list of applaud worthy experiences "receiving a net check". That should make u happy too. Whomp whomp:(
I'm not even mad at her for posting this comment, because most of what she's saying is true. What I am mad about is the fact that she made is seem like it's only FAMU! It's not. Throughout my matriculation I have attended 4 schools, FAMU being the only HBCU. I had financial aid problems at all of them.
uh...If you watched my part II I do have a disclaimer. And on top of that I can only speak about what I know first hand. I haven't attended every school in the United States to say that Yale, Harvard, or even other HBCUs have the same problem.
If you had financial problems at all of the ones you attended, y don't you post a video of your experiences instead of being mad that I didn't talk about an experience that I didn't have?
OK! Let's begin and end here. This is an open forum for discussion. You opened yourself up for criticisms and got it. If you don't want people talking about what u had to say, you shouldn't have posted the video. Have a nice day:)
Why so defensive? You jumped to conclusions and I'm just clearing that up. I did not make it seem as though FAMU is the only one. In addition to what I said previously, this video is intentionally about FAMU, now tell me why would I talk about another school?
Well if yo people make so much damn money take yo ass to damn Harvard or some other priviledge damn school. I love FAMU! Got my BS and working on my masters. K-12 was involuntary, but college is voluntary. Instaed of making this video you may should have been on yo job standing in that damn financial aid line...lol!
I stood in that financial aid line and couldnt get anything done by them.
The fact is, I live in NY where the cost of living is higher than FL, so when a Florida school looks at my family's gross income, its that much more inaccurate hence my saying "APPARENTLY they make too much." So for you to say "take yo ass to damn Harvard or some other priviledge damn school," you're completely missing my point.
I Believe in FAMU. Lots of school has problems. FAMU has them. But its still the number one school in america for black students. And nothing can make me feel differently about that. Love you tho crystal!

I am happy for you. Why shouldn't you receive the money that is yours? Is that not the idea of a net check?
In your "whomp whomp" i suppose that was supposed to be some sort of insult. :-\
:: sigh ::...I'll entertain you...
(w/sarcasm) gasp...that's just not right. My world is crumbling down around me. Oh my...what ever will I do?

I apologize...you did not specify and being that you're replying to the video one would think you were talking about the video.
*applauds you for having good experiences with your advisor and scheduling*

So let's now end here.

Oh...and the price of living in each state is taken into consideration during the financial aid process.
msbee101 4 years ago
Which makes inaccuracies even worse. I still get no financial aide and am breaking my pockets to pay for tuition.
