  • Does anyone know if I can put a pearl cx snare-carrier-attachment on a 14x12 yamaha sfz marching snare?

  • @MrDrummer028 yeah

  • My school uses these!

  • @TheStandard2 same here!

  • Hey SteveWiess, do you happen to know anything about the new holes for the new backbar? We recently bought these same carriers for our pearl big blocks. Would this new system work with the old holes? and if we had to redrill, can pearl send a template?

  • woot woot! Ravenwood High School getting some cx's. and damn do they look good.

  • Go RUDY!!!!

  • I'll stick with Randall May.

  • who notice the different head on the 12' at the end?

  • has this been released yet?

  • @rollinfever15 Yes, they have, but with limited availability at this point. You can see them on our site SteveWeissMusic [dot] com

  • will you be able to fit the new cx airframe backbar on other sets of tenors that have the randall may hardware?

  • @IHATEPLAID The drums are drilled differently, so you would need to re-drill the drums, and replace the spacers to use them with the CX Airframe.

  • @SteveWeissMusic would it be difficult to redrill holes? If not, where would you have to redrill them at?

  • wait. so on the first one there is a pad that goes around the back?

  • @nickppp100 Yes. Pearl calls the belt the Agility Control System. "The ACS (Agility Control System) Belt unites the player to their instrument for optimal stability in today’s modern use of body movement."

  • @SteveWeissMusic are the mxt frames as comfy as the cx airframes???

  • we are getting them next year

  • @mysteryrockssssssss me too :)

  • @nickppp100 NICE! idk when there going to come in cause they are on back order dam i wana put them on now

  • @mysteryrockssssssss ya we got newdrums too. Its too bad that my drumlike kida sucks

  • man our school used dysnaty we had them in 99 or 02 i wish we had a contrack with pearl

  • Looks cool. Kinda wish they had the drop and lock technology but the Jbars are fine. Im so glad to see that pearl finally figured out how to add and 8" to the tenors.

  • yeah, FINALLY. I'm pretty sure it was BD's design team that figured that out though, because the Dynasty tenors fucking ROCK, and BD made them better.

I hate that they left Dynasty, but now that they're with pearl, I think it'll be interesting to see how much better their marching percussion ends up being after BD's design team gets done with them. Maybe they'll be able to get the tenors cradle system to not suck shit, and warp (become unlevel) after a few years of use.

  • they look nice. i dont like how pearls are so deep, my school use them. i personally like dynasty!

  • these are soo cool. Vanguard and Cavies 09 marched them, correct?

  • I believe that it was Vanguard and Blue Knights.

  • that's right.

  • seeing as cavies use yamaha, I don't think so.

I believe that it was vanguard and blue knights.

  • thanks bro. I've already got it; I had a slight mix up.

  • Look good Rudy, looks to be very comfortable, and user friendly. I'm glad Pearl is doing their own carrier and with the proven J-hook design. Like the new t-bar look, the top half looks cool.

Any pictures of the new back bar for tenors ?

  • Very cool. Excited to check that out.

  • The Airframe is very unique. Is there any shoulder width or angle adjustment?

  • I don;t think so - but SCV abd BK had zero issues last summer. looks cool!

  • No there isn't (atleast in this version). However, because the shoulder pads sit on a round tube, they can rotate a bit, making them more forgiving then older style fixed shoulder carriers.
