Quick question, I have flip up Iron's on my AR, I was going to purchase the Micro T-1 because it would allow me to view my irons through the sight. Does this allow for the same thing?

This reflex sight is HORRIBLE for .223 or any caliber that is accurate 100yds or farther. The reason is because the dot on these reflex sights is TOO DAMN LARGE (6.5MOA).
This is a shotgun optic IMO. Was very surprised to see sootch use this on a AR.
One big down side to the Reflex actually all Tritium lamped sights is that they do fade.You have to send the ACOG's in to be relamped at a cost of several hundred buck and was told you can't (or at least they won't) relamp a Reflex. It's like getting a divorce all the free sex suddenly has a large price tag. With the improved electronics and batteries i feel they are the better option for modern weapons sights.
I trhink there is a reason the military dropped these and went with Aimpoints.
My big issue with the Trijicon was it's fragility (many guys on my team had issues with them) and "wash out" of the recticle when shooting from a position of shadow into a lighted area. (i.e. lights from building and houses) I think Aimpoint pretty much solves the on/off issue with it's long battery life. I had one I left on for months and it worked just fine.
Hello. I like this little sight. I like the triangle, I hear the tip is veritual no MOA at all, or pin point accurate and the big old triangle makes for fast target acquisition. My question is, do you think you can work this unit with a flip to the side magnifier maybe 3 power???

Totally love my 2 broken Reflex sights. Ug. Why the freak do these things break so much? The accuracy sucks so don't expect pinpoint tack driving with a reflex but dang I love the sight. Does the sight loosen as you send shots down range? Meaning does the clamps hold it securely enough to where it wont budge? I just bought a M&P PS 5.56 and I am looking so hard for a sight that its giving me a headache at times lol!

i just bought the reflex sight II. I was in a bright area and i have no wash out over pavement, in the sky, in the grass. Its nice and bright without overpowering and the triangle is pinpoint. However ihave some lamps in my apartment and its washes out and i can't see at all. yellow lighting and white walls and in dark indoor close quarter its pretty useless. Harder to aquire where fractions of a sec count. I have mix feelings on it.
Where did you buy it? I suppose you re an american by accent, so is it possible to get one out of USA, since I know Mepro 21 is forbidden to export outside USA.
@fanofCOH The Reflex and EOTech should be on par under 50 yds. One advantage would be the smaller size of the Reflex so less distraction, but that;s debatable. The tritium sight verses battery operated is also a plus for the Reflex... in my opinion : )
@sootch00 i think im still partial to eotech, but this sight smaller footprint seems more appealing. plus, the lack of batteries is a plus. however, the lense on the eotech seems much larger and so you have a bit more relief when acquiring your target. so idk, im really split here, thanks for your take tho.
@fanofCOH eotech 557 has drop compensation. The triangle is thick so 12.5moa is a blob for a red dot but the fact that it has a sharp corner makes its competable with the 1moa dot of the eotech. I think this is better than the eo tech. and if you really want to have a larger view they makea 1x42mm optic but you forfiet the triangle.
@sootch00 Hey sootch, love your vids. I am curious if you have had any washout issues with the reticle on this sight. I was pretty dead set on getting the 42mm version but when I tested it at a local gun store I noticed that the dot would wash out if you were standing in a darker area while aiming at a lighter area.
For example i was pointing the sight outside against the wall from inside the shop where it was darker and lost the reticle. I am wondering if the larger reticles are not as bad.

now i got a question for ya man if you got the time. i have been thinking about spending the money on a high quality reflex. now a triji is really appealing to me since i always hear bad stories about how eotechs and aimpoints somtimes just shutting off from battery usage from being left on and how sometimes people forget to turn them on. i hear some nay say about the triji however how it can be bloomy or in dark areas your flashlight can make your reticle invisible is this an issue?

@bazengao Hey Bro, No, they don't pay me. I bought my Trijicon scopes because they are the best. Yes, they are expensive... very expensive, but worth the money. There are other options that are less expensive and are good choices but don't buy super cheap. You'll be glad you spent the extra for quality. Thanks and Good luck~
could it be more reflective and less combat suitable? almost 6 minutes of review and not a single peek through the sight itself - which might be good for Trijicon sales, as when it comes to field of view, brightness of lens, and durability of sot over time - this is the worse reflex (reddot) sight of them all. Try the Israeli MEPOR21 (meprolight) - also no batteries, works day and night, lens twice as big, dot twice as bright.. never breaks down.

The accuracy just depends on your zero-in job imho. The better you zero it in the more accurate. I have a Viridian green laser and it took me some time to zero it in to my best ability, but now I can practically put 5-6 9mm's within a quarter size hole at 49 feet.
Would this work on a shotgun? I have a 870 with a mesa tactical six shot side saddle with the picatinny top rail. I have been looking for either rail mounted flip up hard sights or a reflex sight such as this one. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

They are all comparable quality and any one would be an excellent choice. My personal philosophy is what can go wrong, will go wrong. No battery, less chance of failure. That's just my thought.
If you base whether or not you're going to purchase a phenomenal product based on whether or not they choose to put a reference to a bible verse on their product you need to recheck your priorities. Trijicon is, bar none, the finest maker of combat optics of their kind, and you're freaking because they put a letter and 2 numbers on it t hat happen to relate to a Bible verse? Get over yourself.
When I bought the sight I had no idea the verse was on it. Tirjicon makes top of the line optics and they are not cheap. I don't care what they put on them is they are poor quality. You need to recheck your priorities and find meaning in life other than yourself.
Now that I got that out of my system, THAT IS SO COOL! I totally didn't know about the verses, sootch00 I have a Trijicon RMR and after seeing this had to check it out. Sure enough on the side 2PE 1:19 (2 Peter 1:19). I think their bible references all relate to light which makes sense since all their products provide a lighted aiming point.

How does the reticle transition and appear in poor lighting? im thinking about one of these for a new rifle build, but want to make sure it does well in all odd lighting situations.
Oooops! I was thinking of the ACOG! The Reflex is a triangle... In bright sunlight a polarizer is helpful but I can pick up the sight easily most of the time. Sorry about the mix-up.
Great Video man! I have a Reflex II RX09 model with the option to add mini Cyalume glow sticks. I have it mounted on top of my SLR-107F "AK103" Check it out in action in some of my videos. It is worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

I love this one!I used it on a night shoot at Ft.Dix before I left for Iraq and it hit steel targets at 50 meters in total darkness.

i just bought the reflex sight II. I was in a bright area and i have no wash out over pavement, in the sky, in the grass. Its nice and bright without overpowering and the triangle is pinpoint. However ihave some lamps in my apartment and its washes out and i can't see at all. yellow lighting and white walls and in dark indoor close quarter its pretty useless. Harder to aquire where fractions of a sec count. I have mix feelings on it.

@fanofCOH The Reflex and EOTech should be on par under 50 yds. One advantage would be the smaller size of the Reflex so less distraction, but that;s debatable. The tritium sight verses battery operated is also a plus for the Reflex... in my opinion : )

@sootch00 i think im still partial to eotech, but this sight smaller footprint seems more appealing. plus, the lack of batteries is a plus. however, the lense on the eotech seems much larger and so you have a bit more relief when acquiring your target. so idk, im really split here, thanks for your take tho.

@fanofCOH eotech 557 has drop compensation. The triangle is thick so 12.5moa is a blob for a red dot but the fact that it has a sharp corner makes its competable with the 1moa dot of the eotech. I think this is better than the eo tech. and if you really want to have a larger view they makea 1x42mm optic but you forfiet the triangle.

@sootch00 Hey sootch, love your vids. I am curious if you have had any washout issues with the reticle on this sight. I was pretty dead set on getting the 42mm version but when I tested it at a local gun store I noticed that the dot would wash out if you were standing in a darker area while aiming at a lighter area.
For example i was pointing the sight outside against the wall from inside the shop where it was darker and lost the reticle. I am wondering if the larger reticles are not as bad.

now i got a question for ya man if you got the time. i have been thinking about spending the money on a high quality reflex. now a triji is really appealing to me since i always hear bad stories about how eotechs and aimpoints somtimes just shutting off from battery usage from being left on and how sometimes people forget to turn them on. i hear some nay say about the triji however how it can be bloomy or in dark areas your flashlight can make your reticle invisible is this an issue?

could it be more reflective and less combat suitable? almost 6 minutes of review and not a single peek through the sight itself - which might be good for Trijicon sales, as when it comes to field of view, brightness of lens, and durability of sot over time - this is the worse reflex (reddot) sight of them all. Try the Israeli MEPOR21 (meprolight) - also no batteries, works day and night, lens twice as big, dot twice as bright.. never breaks down.

The accuracy just depends on your zero-in job imho. The better you zero it in the more accurate. I have a Viridian green laser and it took me some time to zero it in to my best ability, but now I can practically put 5-6 9mm's within a quarter size hole at 49 feet.

Would this work on a shotgun? I have a 870 with a mesa tactical six shot side saddle with the picatinny top rail. I have been looking for either rail mounted flip up hard sights or a reflex sight such as this one. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

They are all comparable quality and any one would be an excellent choice. My personal philosophy is what can go wrong, will go wrong. No battery, less chance of failure. That's just my thought.

If you base whether or not you're going to purchase a phenomenal product based on whether or not they choose to put a reference to a bible verse on their product you need to recheck your priorities. Trijicon is, bar none, the finest maker of combat optics of their kind, and you're freaking because they put a letter and 2 numbers on it t hat happen to relate to a Bible verse? Get over yourself.

When I bought the sight I had no idea the verse was on it. Tirjicon makes top of the line optics and they are not cheap. I don't care what they put on them is they are poor quality. You need to recheck your priorities and find meaning in life other than yourself.

Now that I got that out of my system, THAT IS SO COOL! I totally didn't know about the verses, sootch00 I have a Trijicon RMR and after seeing this had to check it out. Sure enough on the side 2PE 1:19 (2 Peter 1:19). I think their bible references all relate to light which makes sense since all their products provide a lighted aiming point.

Oooops! I was thinking of the ACOG! The Reflex is a triangle... In bright sunlight a polarizer is helpful but I can pick up the sight easily most of the time. Sorry about the mix-up.

Great Video man! I have a Reflex II RX09 model with the option to add mini Cyalume glow sticks. I have it mounted on top of my SLR-107F "AK103" Check it out in action in some of my videos. It is worth every penny. I highly recommend it.
