how to update your psp firmware

when you make that update file in your game file did you cap all the letters? If not thats why it didn't work

k guys dont critizize this but if im right bricking is when you get a viruse when you download something like a update for a custom firmware and you dont know wut yoiur doing but bricking is when you psp is as fun as a brick but there are steps to prevent this but i dont think that if you update legaly yoiu sould get a brick problem

i downloaded the file to my desktop and it was called EBOOT.PHP and i made a folder in the psp called update and i put it in but it doesnt work. is it like that because i have version 3.51?
