  • Fantastic - congratulations

  • Muy bueno el coro pero hay que tener especial cuidado al mencionar al autor, Cat Stevens fue quien la hizo conocer popularmente; la autora de Morning has broken fue Eleanor Farjeon.

  • Bravi belle voci!!! Cari saluti dall' Italia

  • Like it ... But why so busy?

  • Although your right in saying that Rick Wakeman played on the original recording, but the musical arrangement is by Cat Stevens alone.

Credit where credit is due man! don't try to take it away from the guy...

  • you're an honor full man

  • Credit where credit is due, exactly! And absolutely NO credit is due Cat Stevens other than coming up with the idea to record the song and sing it. It's a fact that he didn't write it, and the "arrangement" is CLEARLY Wakeman's, which is fact, not conjecture. All Cat Stevens did was SING a 100 year old Christian hymm. Cat has WRITTEN and performed many, many great songs - just not this one.

  • ChrosBoylan.

Cat did one more thing that you didnt mention..He made an entire generation

aware of this song...which in turn

helped bring many to a new understanding of faith.

  • UPDATE: I listen to Rick on his show, "Rick's Place" on Planet Rock. This subject came up and he mentioned that the album has since been re-released, this time with full credits to all that participated in the albums recording, including Rick Wakeman. Better late than never, I always say.

  • WOW! Positively beautifully done by these group of kids from Los Altos High. Well done all...

  • The music is NOT written by Cat Stevens. It goes back more than a hundred years. Elenore Farjeon wrote the lyrics to a Christmas carol called "Child in the Manger". Later, Percy Dearmer, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Martin Shaw published it in a hymn book and since 1931 this tune has been associated with what is now known as "Morning Has Broken. What's interesting is that Rick Wakeman (keyboard player for YES) arranged the song and played piano on Cat's recording and was never given credit.

  • Well said!!

  • Wow...this is great!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
