  • @xxXpitboyXxx ya die quick though

  • did he died??

  • @bapyou

U know that it killed someone

Don't say anything unless you can prove it

  • Damn you for ruining the illusion. HA

  • In the real world no one ever dies from quicksand. Think about it: How often have you EVER heard about someone dying in quicksand? How about ... NEVER? On the news? Ever hear of it? Its "danger" was made up for the movies and people have believed in the danger for decades. No one EVER dies from it. It exists, all right, but, if you ever get caught in QS, all you have to do is lay down flat. redistribute your weight, and you can pull yourself out.

  • damn you for ruining the illusion.

  • @bapyou

Well, what you said there is idiotic. If you are under the surface of the earth, your intaking mud, sand, water etc, and your likley gonna suffocate. This is grade school stuff.

  • Grade school stuff? Sorry, but you're completely incorrect. Again: Tell me of an instance where someone has died because of quicksand. Show me an article. What they depict in film & TV is a complete fiction; a fiction repeated 1000s of times. Quicksand exists. But the basic physics of it is simple: It is very wet sand/sediment. When you get trapped in it, lean forward, redistribute your weight & you'll extricate yourself w/o trouble.

  • dam i like to see the lil bastard go under the quicksand

  • @tapdancegirl88 i agree. is there some sort of law that forbids children from drowning in quicksand on tv? and is there a law that all kids who wear tights never get wet, or dirty on tv as well?

  • hey i remember this show...just barely tho, i was pretty young =P

  • Don't let the mud just suck you in! Grab onto something nearby and pull yourself out! You're only about a metre from solid ground!

  • It must have been fun playing his part. I've always wished that I could get casted into a movie where I'd have to be in mud or quicksand. Realistic tho, not water with dirt on top :/

  • I miss this show. I used to watch it all the time since it was one of my favorites. I definitely want to get the dvd.

  • lol jeysen from fredey 13

  • man wtf..i wanted that white boy to die!

    they killed it..

  • why be racist, why not just say boy.... i take it you're either a golly wog or a paki

  • AND THERES EVEN A FUCKIN BRANCH NEXT TO HIM HE COULD HAVE USED. what a dumbass

  • omg i did that at the crocky trail it was well scary coz no one else was there

  • why didn't he die

  • It's so difficult to find good quicksand in urban areas. Fortunately the eight babies I've just had fit inconspicuously into discarded milk cartons. Isn't that ironic? "Have you seen this child?", and the child is right inside the carton!

  • this was a crappy program called round the twist

  • no, that was mint

  • actually it was Ocean Girl, but the same actor was in Round the Twist.

  • shit i would like to see the lil bastard sink

  • Lucky boy in back at 2:17 - he got a great muddy up-skirt view! >;-) He should have paused to enjoy it!

  • I second that! that mud looks so good, deep and very thick not to mention the colour of it. How amazing it would be and feel to sink in that mud naked. I don't think a swimsuit would be needed at all.

  • @oboxman Ha ha! I should be asking you the same question...what the F*** is your problem A**HOLE? It's just a f***ing comment, chill the f*** out! Seriously, if I made such a horrible comment then I wouldn't currently have 24 people liking it now would I? DIPSHIT!!!

  • @oboxman Well what's wrong with YOU the.Cant the people tell their own opinions?I think you're one of those narcissistic shits who think they are kings of the world.

  • @oboxman You ain't the king of the world! We need to tell our opinions too!! You shitty person.

  • @Yoshibug20 that's what i said to him:D

  • @MrShadow974 =3 hahahhah

  • I would of loved to be in that mud it looks so good, deep and very thick!

  • @GWRAutoCoach dude if u sank in to it u would die

  • Why did the girl hear the boy? She was under water.

Warum hört das Mädchen den Jungen? Sie war doch unter wasser.

(Sorry, I'm not so good in english)

  • If you want info about this show (Ocean Girl) is all explained in Wikipedia, but basically, that girl has superpowers.

  • she has the ability of telepathy(reading peoples minds) she knew he was in trouble cause she could sense it

  • You are MUCH better in English, than you give yourself credit for, "Ftm 1990"! Whether you may think so, or not.

  • The show is called Ocean Girl

  • Is this from some movie or show? What's it called?

  • 3 kids 1 cup........heh

  • brett hatte sein schlammbad :)

    lol

  • scary stuff.. he was almost a goner...

  • best quicksand/bog scene eva :)

  • LMAO! u hold ya breath foreva

  • eery music and quicksand...reminds me of the Never Ending Story. lol. by the way, I remember this episode. Was my favorite show as a kid.

  • and also what season?

  • This is from episode 3 of the 1st season of the original Ocean Girl series, and the episode is entitled "Secrets", I believe. ;)

I first saw that scene *only* once from years back, and thought that was truly the rather DAMN BEST quicksand consistency ever... wow, I was totally blown away, let me tell you!!! :D !

  • can u show me a link to this episode? please!!i cant find it anywhere. u can put the link on here by putting spaces in the URL. thx a lot!

  • Unfortunately soulsiege, I too do not know of any links at all here ( :( ), but, I DO know that the entire Ocean Girl seasons 1-4 are currently available on DVD in Australia. If you can get them plus a region-free DVD player to go with it, you'd be in great shape!! ^-^ !

And ohhh my, that soft mud of this deepening quicksand looks OH SO DEFINITELY inviting to bathe in, now doesn't it? ^_- !

(I thought so since I first saw that scene myself.)

  • After having viewed this scene countless times here now, I second your comment regarding that soft mud. This has made me wish there were mud pits like that here in the U.S. where I live!

  • Regarding both this scene and my previous comment here, nxdat81, I thank you so much!! (^-^)v !

As for finding deep mud and quicksand in the US, though, they *can* be found near rivers and streams and also in bogs. You just gotta know where to look to get there.

Speaking of which, some of the BEST quicksand and deep mud pits like that are actually found along the sandbars and banks along the Mississippi River. And just you imagine the feeling of it when you get there, too!!! ;)

  • i bet it feels good! XD :P lol

  • Man thats bullshit they should of let the kid die im very disapointed

  • Hey! That could've been me! *phew* Thanks heavens I saw that National Geographic special. :)

  • he should have died.

  • The color of the mud is so great........

  • I would love to find A mud pit like that to use. as long as my feet touch the ground.

  • LoL i remember this show, the ending get weird.

  • o shit i like to see the lil bastard sink in the quicksand damit

  • cool! i want to experience sinking in quiksand, but i want to have a rope or a bar or something to get out!

  • That would not be such a bad idea at all, xitsxallxaboutxmex. ;)

Better yet, you can also bring with you a friend who knows all the ins-and-outs of deep mud/quicksand... which can truly help you greatly in pulling you out safely, you know what I mean?

  • i know what you mean

  • OH NOOOOSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! its a pit of mud!!!! *gasp*

  • i remember this ep from long ago

  • It would have been interesting to see the gal slip into it as well.

  • Ya that would've been nice!

  • I have always wanted to find a deep pit of quicksand.

In Australia it is mostly dry so I have had no luck in finding any quicksand swamps around.

But I will still keep on searching.

  • Ah i've found some good quicksand before in my own towen. River mud to be exact. You like that kinda stuff to? It's not good enough for me tho... so I search more and more.

  • Ich liebe diese serie. Hab ich früher immer geguckt.

Warum gibts die hier nich auf deutsch? :(

  • Hey, this is 'Merica. Speak 'Merican.

  • could you plz upload more of these

  • Ive always wanted to fall in quicksand.

  • I remember seeing this program when i was much younger, filmed in Australia, Ocean Girl was a girl from a colony of people that lived in the Ocean and people were trying to hunt her down and exploit her people for science. Always loved this episode, not seen that in years.

  • You know, riverman72, I TOO remember seeing this program back in 1995-1999 on the Disney Channel in the US, and I can also remember that that episode was no doubt worth the watch, mainly for its wonderful and oh so realistic quicksand scene alone which I thought was the main attraction from Episode #3 of the first season, let me tell you right now!! ;)

Great program indeed, thank you!!! ^-^=b !

  • Once when I was a teenager I accidentally stepped in deep mud. I was barefoot and shirtless, and I sank almost up to my shoulders.

It felt so good that I just couldn't believe it. And when my friends came by to rescue me I didn't really want to get out.

  • reminds me of the time in the shower with the shampoo bottle

  • Shampoo bottle? WTF???

  • could u explain that? ya know, elaborate? your remark is kinda like "WTF?" for me. now, i'm curious.

  • Thats why I want to do that kinda stuff to. But not so deep that I can't get out!

  • that must feel alsome

  • Yea and watch when that happens to you, you would be screaming, its scary you know?

  • Nah... maybe it is if you're conditioned by all those movies where deep mud is depicted as a lethal trap, something that will kill you.

Luckily, reality is much different. Mud is denser than water, so there is just no way you can sink and drown into mud. And yes, it feels very VERY good.

  • TOTALLY agreed 100%, DevilMaster... especially the clay kind, too. ^-^=b !

You see, the human body actually floats when it displaces an equal density of the deep quaking mud, dry-looking or not. If it's thicker than peanut butter, you descend to just about your ribcage area (you have to *really* work hard to get deeper, though!). If it's like creamy melted chocolate, you sink up to your shoulders/neck, and no more. I have personally studied about quicksand for 15 years now, after all. :D

  • Mud sinkholes where the mud is very soft but not wet enough to facillitate the displacement could probably be a potentially lethal trap, but it would have to be that "perfect" consistency for a long way down, and that's probably pretty rare.

  • i know exactly how you feel
