I wonder if OMD's track 'Electricity' was influenced by this? I think the little synth motif we hear at 0:30 -0:34 and 0:38 -0:41 and throughout is very like the synth track of that song. The concepts are similar too, relating to energy and forces etc.
Great piece of music. This song is from 1975 - Kraftwerk were utterly groundbreaking and like nothing else back in the 1970s. They literally invented electro-pop. Their output in the 1970s was completely revolutionary.
@Christianpreaching You seem like a fine upstanding gentleman. I'm of course lying. You're just another christhard idiot that gives Christians a bad name.
@kloppeder100 Ok, I confess. Iman idiot. Building nuclear plants on fault lines is a good thing. Nothing bad ever came of it in Japan. Please teach me more so I can be smart like you.
@Christianpreaching The plant in Japan wasn't on a fault line, idiot. When the tsunami came in the floodwalls were five feet too short and it flooded out the main cooling pumps and the back-up generators. The earthquake was out at sea which caused the waves to crash up and over the flood walls.
@kloppeder100 more people died for the cause of christianity than any war,to be christian these days is nothing to be proud, its all about money ,ever seen a priest that doesnt drive a brand car i havnt ,its a big cult and your in it
@TheGladmankilla Well. Our local preacher just drives a rusty old pickup. Besides. I can't really take your argument seriously when you're that fast to call something a cult. I respect your opinion, but you'd get a lot more respect if you just spoke calmly instead of thinking you know everything.
The original version and the best. Loved this lot in the 70s but sold all the albums when skint. Got my favourite tracks on an old cassette somewhere - must dig it out and re-create it!
Yes, for one about the radioactive wastelands of a post nuclear holocaust dystopia.
In fact this song wasn't originally only about radioactivity from fallout, but rather the amount of radioplay a song got on radio, that's what Kraftwerk themselves claim..
considering that the original song contains the lyric "discovered by madame curie" it's pretty unlikely that the song isn't about radioactive material. The album Radio-Activity (Radio-Activitat) is a concept album that plays on the two ideas or radio airplay and radioactive material.
this is what I got for the first part of the piano bit. But I don't think I've got the second part right. I'm not a piano player so if there's anyone who is, can you figure out the other part?
