  • incredible!!

In special was this song written by THE BEATLES for KATE??

    It ´s sounds, like this!

  • @TheNorthBerliner No, of course not. The song is from 1967, from the album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

  • @Symphonyofflowers I meant, KATE performed the song so much better, then the BEATLES themselves!

    It´s sound, like written f o r KATE b y the BEATLES, it was a metapher...you know?!

    Greetings from a Berliner

    jo

  • waouh un des plus belle chansons du plus grand chanteur pop McCartney chantée par la plus grande chanteuse pop, superbe !

  • amazing cover version. She really knows her octaves!! I have added this to my FB group dedicated to covers. It's called "The Guilty Pleasure of the Cover Version". Feel free to join in the fun.

  • OMG! This performance shows even better than her own songs what an incredible voice she had... 0:50-1:05... hats off...

  • I just wanted to hear do the really high bit, ace.

  • She makes this her very own - brilliant Kate!

  • wow, wonderfull Kate and wonderfull Beatle song

  • Brilliant !!

  • beautiful version, better than the cover by,,,,. was it Esther Ofarim

  • BEATLES, BEATLES, BEATLES

    BEATLES, BEATLES, BEATLES

  • There's a few people who are allowed to sing anything they want, Kate Bush is one of them...

  • Aw, I wish I could see this performance in its entirety, but considering how scarce recorded live performances of Kate are, I must thank you for going through the trouble to find them and post them for us fans!

  • これは初めてみました。

    ありがとうございました。

  • A genius singing the music of geniuses. Stellar.

  • apparently, she's big in Japan.

  • I adore Kate and LOVE The Beatles..it just doesn't get any better then Kate doing one of their masterpieces. I usually don't care too much for Beatles covers but for Kate I'll make an exception!

  • @twinflame93 I second that!

  • Usually I don’t like the covers, but Kate Bush is the greatest singer on the world. Thank you.

  • shame about the rubbish quality, but a nice cover.

  • But this is not the complete song! Anyway, really good clip.

  • Where is she now?

She did some good songs lie Running up that Hill

  • she did way more things than just running up that hill

  • Awesome voice Kate!! I love it! That musical rendition however is an earsore :(

  • Kate's cover is great; I wish it had been properly recorded and published. Thanks very much recovering for this forgotten gem.

  • You're welcome.

  • @winehousedrunk

Just a beautiful vioce! Plain and simple! Love it!

  • Wow - just beautiful. She is an amazing song writer and never knew she did any cover versions. Oh apart from that Roy Harper one with Peter Gabriel.

  • WillS. She also covered Donovan's "Lord of the Reedy River" (which is on the singles disc in the boxed set "This Woman's Work). And, of course, Elton John's "Rocket Man," "Candle in the Wind," the Lou Adler collaboration of "The Man I Love," "Mná Na Héireann" on "Common Ground: Voices of Modern Irish Music." And she covered "Brazil" for Terry Gilliam's film back in 1984, which used to be in my library because it was online on Terry's site, but it seems to be lost now.

  • @0MirrorGirl I have Lord of the Reedy River as a B side of a single but did not know it was a cover. I remembered the Elton John Rocket Man one as soon as I had posted but all the rest are news to me. I just have all the standard albums and got all the singles to get the B sides before "This Woman's Work" came out. It has been amazing to come across all the bootlegs songs I knew nothing about on YouTube. Thanks for the info

  • You're welcome. Also, I meant LARRY Adler! I used to know a man named Lou Adler, so I get their names wrong (both of them) all the time. --Kate also sang on the "Let it Be" charity single for the ferry accident (I think that was the cause). -- I want to thank Symphony for all the great clips put up, too. Wonderful.

  • Also you can just call me "MirrorGirl." I lost my old password and had to re-enlist with a variation on my old name. It's actually an old nickname (from Hesse's "Steppenwolf") given me at @15.

  • She has such a cute voice!! I've never heard of her before.. I love the beatles version better but her voice is adorable and strong.

  • the Beatles' version is MUCH better!

  • Wow. Rare footage indeed. Thank you, thank you for uploading.

  • Never knew she sang this version. Thanks for posting, you've made my day.

  • You're welcome.

  • That's our Kate - G8

  • esta a años luz de THE BEATLES.

  • Aw, hell....I wish I could hit those notes

  • OMG I *heart* Kate and Beatles more than anything!!!! I actually think she does it better than Paul!!! (you don't get that kind of compliment out of me easily1)

  • Kate singing The Beatles!

    Miracles happen!!!

  • Such a beautiful version of this classic song

by Kate !! very moving the way she sings it!
