Technically, Phoenix isn't an "X-Woman of X-Men'' because Jean was possessed by Phoenix, guardian of the Emrond Crystal (I THINK that is what it is called.) After the crystal is placed inside of the sun, she comes back to earth, BUT she claims to be Dark Phoenix. Then soon enough the X-Men are in a battle, over if Jean/Dark Phoenix lives or dies. During it, Dark Phoenix emerges out of her again, and Cyclopse end her life (HE THINKS) Then Phoenix leaves Jean's body and never appears again.
When she is in her green and gold outfit, shes an X-man. 90's cartoon(amazing by the way) is slightly incorrect from the comics.. Phoenix does deal with the M'Kraan Crystal!! But then she goes evil. When they r battling on the moon for Jean's life, the Phoenix is released and she does commit suicide...like, no more Jean. But having the Phoenix force, she will rise again, just later =) While she is dead, she is sent to the White Hot room to fix everything that she had destroyed.

I really enjoy the music that came from X-Men Evolution when the five ladies become vigilantes. I thought starting out with Rogue was pretty cool, too.
