  • This beat has a lot of feeling to it, words match it perfectly

  • "slow down ghandhi! ya killin 'em"

  • who were the people saying the beat dont flow wit da song cuz all i see is comments sayin its boss and i agree with them

  • I agree, the beat matches this song a lot better. It's like the song "On the Eve of War" by Jedi Mind Tricks and Gza, the remix is better, more epic.

  • DAYUUMM!!

    This is good!

  • I like this beat with the lyrics.

  • is this downloadable anywhere?

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!! Sage Your the BEST!

  • It works!! it works!! :)

  • "One Nation In Chaos" , good thing I got my floss to clean my teeth from all the bullshit they are feeding us! Tao To Decipher the Lifer Mr. Cipher !

  • what do you think he means when he says: "mr. save the world, spare us the details, keep the females from losing interest and mrs. save the universe, your a damsel in distress, tied down by a track of isolated insidents"

  • @Bubbafartz28 I'm guessing Mr. Save the world refers to how politicians have framed military occupations as humanitarian intervention (judging by the context of Sage's political dialogue). And the people are too focused on a populist agenda to care, pay attention or even notice that what they're being told is just good PR. Mrs. Save the universe, I'm not sure but I read it as how we perceive pop culture icons like Lindsey Lohan (etc.) as more important than people who have real influence

  • Sweet Remix... The beat really sets the deepness of Sage's lyrics in this song. Nice Work!!

  • better than any other cover to something so mainstream

  • i like it

  • ARGH!!!! Sage Francis took a sword in the heart with this remix with Snort Slimer

  • possibly the second greatest rap song ever by possibly the greatest rapper ever.

  • DIG IT ! MPLS <3

  • this is rad

  • "they'l lock you up and throw away the key witness" one of my favourite lines ever

  • Lyrics outdo the melody anyway. Good song.

  • V. igorous I. ce B. lue E. yes

is a hip hop duo, one of us makes the lyrics, the other the melodies, and we are trying to improve our music

so if you have a spare 2-3 miuntes, check us out if you'd liek to :)

    and feel free to stay

    thanks :)

  • Hands Down Ghandi mix was better.

  • Shit's mad weak, yo.

  • No, the beat isn't Corny. I thought the same when I first heard the first part of the piano riff, but when the drums came in, and I gave it chance, it's epic. I have this downloaded, and I'm actually surprised that it's on youtube. This version is fantastic.

  • awesome remix, not corny at all imo

  • this is fucking sick

  • where can i d/l this

  • I feel like the beat was not in the right song and fort minor shouldve been in it more

  • download??/

  • hate it original version is better.

  • *song quote*

  • i was pistol wippin cops 4 hip-hop

  • friendly fire, thats a funny term, kinda like civil war

  • I like the beat, but Sage completely overpowers it.

  • This song is kinda cute... at first it sounded good... but the beat is too weird for the lyrics. It makes me feel a little odd. o_O

  • This is so beautiful I can't even describe it with words, love it!

  • I actually disagree with a lot of people, i'm feelin this with the fort minor beat

  • great mix!

  • shivers always from sage ... love the depth and feeling that most don't have these dayz

  • DOPE!!!!!

  • the dopest shit evaaa!!! XD

  • I personally like this a lot, whoever put it together did a good job. I think the progressions in his voice, like raising intensity and raising the frequency of his lines ("the sickness, the symptoms"), match really well with the hip-hop pad in the beat. Dope, love Sage

  • this beat completely takes away from the fury that is Sage, the original is waaay better

  • I think that this beat does sound kind of corny, but its easier for me to focus on the meaning behind his words and what he is saying with this version rather than the original.

  • dope ass fucken song. sage francis is a fucken boss

  • dope ass fucken song. sage francis is a fucken boss

  • Dude who ever fuckin made i would like 2 shake your hand!!! i jus got turned on sage francis an i have always been a FORT MINOR fan, an i jus found out my idol is gonna do tracks with lil wayne!.... Sage francis is SOO sick!

    Guess who my IDOL WAS!!??

  • @TYPOWER420 lil waynes a mainstrem slut

  • I'm not feeling Sage.Sounds like a redneck. He's good lyrically but his voice just kills it.Eyedea is way better

  • @andresss862 both eyedea and sage are sick, eyedea can go much faster and is way better at freestyling though, if anything i think aesop rock has the worst, he is by far the best lyricist ever but his voice ruins it

  • i like this better than the original.

but thumbs up for sage francis!

  • OK look THIS ISNT FAN MADE OK??? now that thats cleared up this remix is alright it doesnt really mix with Sage. And Fort Minor doesnt suck. It depends on whos listening if you dont like it why did you listen to it go hear the original which btw is great. enjoy

  • fuck the haters. this mashup is dope

  • can you buy this on itunes?

  • This song has just heped me determine that I'm never gonna cut of my dreadlocks, and that I'd rather live in the gutter than put on that suit and face the 9 to 5 work day.

  • @VulgarityDivine Dude, this world doesn't take care of anything, we are on our own.

  • @DaTruMusician Not true..if you're a corporate drone and follow the leader you might make it to CEO....

  • About time somebody did something worthwhile with that catchy (corny yes, but catchy) fort minor beat. Those dudes are awful.

  • Why do people insist on shitting up the ORIGINALS?!

This fan made remix is GARBAGE!

  • @LarryTheBladeMcGlade

    agreed +1

  • This is fucking awesome! yes, the beat is a bit soft for the lyrics and flow, but it still sound awesome!

  • kind of takes away from the intensity of sages music. Even his song with softer beats like waterlines have this rawness that puts him a step above most other rappers.

  • this is fuckin badass

  • the beat flows well with the lines BUT the beat totally contradicts sage's tone and lyrics

  • @maxcope540

I think the contradiction is the point.

  • this beat is NOT anything as nice as Sage's rhymes

  • This version is pretty rad. To me the background instrumental makes it stoke the fires of life, makes ya feel like getting out there and given'r, maybe trying to fuck up the shit that Sage Francis says is fucked up. I dunno lol.

  • I really dig the mix. I think the contrast between the somber piano and Sage's aggressive tone make it. It gives Sage's words that kind of last-stand in-your-face feeling. Mad props.

  • Slaughtering sage. Thanks.

  • Still think the Akira The Don mix is the best - Sage vs The Verve! This is wicked tho :D

  • @wingrovesketchbook

Where can I find that mix? I've been looking everywhere for that

  • link? can't find it.. I really like this though.

  • i like the mix The Legion of Doom did better, but this isn't bad

  • This song is sick

  • AH this is siiiick

  • This is sick!

  • please post download link or if you could send it to me!!! i would it really appreciate it

  • I gotta get this mashup

    GOT TO

  • this is one of the sickest remixes of the song yet! this is a remix right?

  • I think the original version is better. The for minor beat is mad corny.

To corny for the message Sage has to offer

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN ya i know me 2! it doesnt exactly go with the lyrics

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN Check out Thenenergizer mix to this, I uploaded it a while ago, damn good track.

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN not as corny as ''best of times'' beat fits well with this

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN hands down gandhi with dashboard legion of doom is genius

  • @RBs2THEGRAIN Before I heard the original, I actually heard a mashup with this song and Dahsboard Confessional's "Hands Down." It has parts of each song, and it makes for an interesting contrast. Look up "Hands Down Gandhi."

  • @usedtohatecellphones Eww, Dashboard.

  • @parade I know, but just hear it out. It works. Haha.

  • @parade even though its dashboard it does this song good justice, plus I find it pretty hilarious that some guys in their basement can make better mixes of this song than a sellout group like fort minor

  • Look for something called Fort Francis Sage Minor EP.

  • ok cool

  • Man.. Where'd you get this? this is something I'd listen to this constantly. Post if you find the time please :D

  • best remix ive evaaa hrd. :)

  • can you download this? Or have it sent to me?

  • rich get richer till the poor get educated

  • best mash up I've ever heard

  • the lyrics are great and the remix made the original song better because of the "Where'd you go" rythm

    incredible

  • where can i download this

  • way to ill.

  • Ö.Ö wow.-

  • Republicrat Demorcran one-party system

  • @ZYKLONBKILLSHITLER One party because no matter how idiotic the majority is they will always win and make the wrong choices because they're fools...

  • i love this song. this is a really good remix aswell.

  • Sage Francis is incredible and this beat is incredible. I listen to this everyday when I am getting ready for class.

  • @oscob

it's not hard to appreciate Sage's lyrical power :) he is more hip-hop, even more punkt, than all the "real" guys out there... just an intelligent, honest and critical emcee... what else you're looking for?

and, this remix is grand, there's also a lot of bad remixes around... but, it's okay, keep remixing! respect!

  • i kinda like this one better, well,i like both.

  • One of those songs that gets you pumped. I love it.

  • Amazing.

  • I've heard some real shitty mixes. I actually like this one. I'm not really a Fort Minor fan, but I really love Sage.

    I like it.

  • man fuk all the hating, i love it when people mix tracks and i think its kinna weird that they used fort minor for this song, my fav off of healthy distrust, the original has a much diffrent feel to it. so i can def see where yall are coming from. basicly dont knock someone else for apprieating either track, unless youve got a cd out your self.

  • what

  • Comment removed

  • omg this song was so great it really shows how smart sage francis really is

  • sounds good. also, i find it hysterical that the "underground" sage fans are trying to tell people how to appreciate music.

  • haha, yeah, wasnt that what they were trying to get away from? people telling them what to like.

  • best song ever no doubt about it listen to this song like 100000000000 times a day. and F.U capture the flag.

  • I did not make this.

  • really fucking good song

  • this entirely ruins the tone of the piece.

This is a song thats about rage and injustice how the hell does the shitty ass beat from a horrible song by a 2nd rate artist about someone being "away" for a long period of time have anything to do with this song.

    Terrible.

Whoever made this, nice try, sage did it much better.

next time think about the song, the lyrics when you try to mix it.

  • Actually, the missing person that is referred to in the song "where'd you go" is a metaphorical personification of the lost values and depravity of modern society that sage explicitly refers to. Indeed his words, "just bring home my mother fucking brothers and sisters" refers to this metaphor of "someone being away for a long period of time". This "person" is in reality modernity's lost ideals. So forsublimation your vacuous mind is wrong... these two songs speak of the same values.

  • Your interpretation may be correct.

But that does not mean that either of the styles lend themselves to each other.

Even if your interpretation applies one is a song of despair over the loss of those values and the other is a song of anger and about fighting for what we've lost.

They do not lend themselves to each other.

Our difference in opinion does not mean that I have a vacuous mind.

    what an unnecessary insult,

I assumed might be better than that.

    why stoop to that?

  • either way, i think the integration between the songs sound really good.

sometimes its all about the sound not the impression their trying to send.

    appreciate the sound.

  • I said earlier I thought it sounded bad.

    and it does.

The original is far better and music is about the impression the artist is trying to give you.

I think I'll stick to good sound and getting what the artist is trying to say, but thanks for the suggestion.

  • If you're just here appreciating the sound why not just go back to the original fort minor song? Makes no difference, both sound pretty much the same. What this arrangement has done is take everything the original was about and toss it to make room for the beat. And no, when it comes to underground it is never about the sound, it is about the rhymes they're spilling and the message.

  • I hope you're not serious. The two songs don't have opposing values, but to say they're about the same thing is a flat out lie. The example you use especially doesn't make any sense. "Bring home my fucking brothers and sisters" is literally talking about the men and women fighting in Iraq, "Where'd you go" is talking about someone off on business trips (and no these trips are not deployments) in a literal sense, and in your "metaphorical" sense the song is about the depravity of modern society

  • one thing to say ...DONT FUCK WITH SAGE"

  • The lyrics are mad sick... This music blows dogs for quarters! Come on, it's Sage not moby.

  • lol this beat fuckin dumbs down the seriousness in his voice. the original beat you can feel the irony and anger in his voice.

  • don't know what the guys problem is below me that Fort Minor beat slams!good remix works well!

  • beat is gay. fuck that shit. Sage kills tracks though

  • agreed.

  • One word.... Sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wanna download this !!!!

  • really good rapp..I lke it more than the original

  • Fucking great remix, thanks.

  • i agree

  • i disagree completely, i wasn't that impressed with the original but i actually like this quite alot

  • GREAT, i like it a lot better than the real slow down ghandi. i mean, fort minor always sounds great.

  • Great song, Great remix!!!!!

  • I like this one more than the original...

This beat makes it sounds more like a message than just a great song.

  • No joke. This really shows how Sage isn't a rapper, but more of a poet

  • he is a great rapper!

  • dats awsm but not good as original even tho worth listening

  • i love this. i really, really love this.

  • where can i download this?

    +5 stars

  • this is good, the mix with Francis and Dashboard confessionals is definately worth listening to. My favorite mix.

  • I'm a huge fan of the original Slow Down Ghandhi ..but damn this is a great remix...so much softer than the original, but It really gives you a chance to reflect on the depth of the lyrics..It really is quite brilliant...

  • this is really well done, the Legion of Doom remix is also great

  • Where can I get a copy of this!!! It's driving me mad that I can't find it. Also who originally mixed this?

  • What up, the song is by Sage francis

  • did a great job. thumbs up bruv.

  • I did not make this.

  • dude u did a fucking awesome job....when i first heard this i thought fort minor and sage actually collaborated....but this shit is just outstanding dude!!! this song is perfect with this tune!!! AWESOME job dude...fuck the haters!!!

  • very good song

  • Nice remix, you've really made some effort in this.. There's still no way I would rather listen to this than the original. You just can't improve perfection.

  • haha chill dude, i like the original more but its still fun to listen to shit like this.. dont cry man, its all good.
