NFSC Beating Darius by passing (Canyon)

If you'd ever consider getting a Corvette; you wont need to worry too much about tuning for acceleration, although engine pointed halfway on Tourqe helps. Tune Gearbox to little/half Horsepower. Let the tires be. Tune the Suspension for slight/medium oversteer to make it less waggly. Brakes, turbo and others is optional.

A tip to anyone who wants to not just beat Darius, but obliterate the bitch - Use the Corvette Z06, just takes some getting used to but it's unmatched for acceleration and speed(if you use manual).

This is my favourite car in this game, I love it.

fuck, racing him in the city is bad enough, i have done every possible tweak to my skyline and there is just no beating him...i need to know what i can do, i don't really want to change my car

@xSnake91x if you want to keep the skyline, keep in mind he's got better acceleration but you have better handling. so as long as you master cornering without reducing the speed too much, you should be able to keep up with him. And he always slows down on that last stretch, making it easy to overtake him.

@xSnake91x in my opinion just try another profile but instead of buying the skyline try the corvette or viper cuz they can re after the turns. and the last roundabout dont break let the car accelerate all the way and ur guaranteed the overtake. its darius' only weakspot. ive played this game hundreds of times and now hes rly easy on the last turn.

@xSnake91x Like FrozenStarRo said, the Skyline has indeed worse acceleration, but its nimbler and handles like a dream. I'd recommend you to set all your parts for max acceleration (optional setting for turbo, but low RPM usually works great for me) to catch up better with him. All other parts should be set in a way that improves your cornering ( I usually set suspension to slight understeer and brakes to rear bias). Hope it helped!

@xSnake91x what Frozen star said is true, I had my Gallardo tuned for high top speed, but i put a lot more into accelleration and balanced steering and I beat him took liek 20 tries though. dont overdo it with tweaking torque.. it screws you in the corners.. and yeah learn a good breaking technique and get to where you can clip hairpins really close. (the outside-inside-outside technique)

3 things:

You race darius on the track known as Infinity pass,

Second, The game is designed so he slows down at the big turn, thus explaining why everyone can pass him there,

And lastly, the Mercedes Benz is not a very good car even though it costs the most. Better cars inclde, but are not limited to: Lomborghini Mecielago, Ford GT, Corvette Z06, and the Dodge Viper. But your a very good driver to be able to use The Benz.

@victorpussycat get the Ford GT with all upgrades. Its a little harder to get by but RIGHT at the beggining before the turn (this is what I did) you can slip in between him and the wall and if you can do it JUST right you can pass him. My time was 17.62 seconds to beat him.

Yup I did. You can't use it in career mode though, you'll have to go to quick race and select it from the custom cars list
