  • dammit you're amazing guy!

  • oi very nice job, you've got yourself a nice steady right hand young man.....takes a lot of practice i bet....hehehe

  • awsome...!

  • Genial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Michael Hedges and Davey Graham were

the First True Pioneers of this Style of Acoustic Playing which so many great guitarists from their time to the present are now engaging in and in some cases

taking to New levels. Antoine Dufour,

Andy McKee, Eric Mongrain, Preston Reed

    just to name a few.

You've done a great job kid. Keep up the great work and thanks for honoring the memory of a Legend.

  • is there any way you could post the approximate tabs of the intro you play? i'm in the process of learning this song, and i'd love to include that intro.

    thank you so much

    -adam

  • Hey Tim bedankt voor je response en sub.. Ik denk wel dat ik naar Donn Ross vanavond ga. En jij? Erg mooi filmpjes hoor! Ga zo door! Groeten Jeroen

  • i can't get over how amazing that one note is that you bend.

it's what sets your cover apart from everyone else's, including the original, and keeps me listening to yours over and over

  • Thanks for the nice comment(s)! It's funny to see yourself playing 1,5 years ago :) Keep rockin.

  • i would love to see a current version of this!

sort of a comparison between how you used to play and how you play now.

  • @boden05 hedges bent that note in concert quite a few times, I wouldn't be surprised if by now there's a video of it

  • Wow. It's wonderful to hear everyone being so inspired by this tune. I wish I could play guitar this well - that looks like fun! You did a great job. Michael is smiling I am sure.

  • TBH i think you did an amazing job. Sweet god anyone who can carry on michaels legacy is amazing in my book

  • man you should learn how to stop the notes with the right hand. it is an important technique that micheal used to use in every song of his.. buy the original tablature from john stropes

  • inspirational. how long did it take you to learn that?

  • Helemaal goed man !

  • nice cover. how much did that guitar cost?

  • It's an occasion, a Taylor 314-K. It cost me about 1450 euros.

  • awesome work, though you were rushing a lot... try to keep the tempo

  • Prachtig... je hebt een hele mooie stijl van spelen, doet me ook een beetje denken aan Gert de Meijer (RIP) misschien moet je eens eigen werk gaan posten..

  • dude, aweosme cover!

although I wish I could see what chords your are playing....

  • yeah dude, thats really great! awesome cover

  • hey, just dropping by to say that that's an absolutely amazing attempt at what is an ugly piece for the guitarist! well done :)

nou ja keep up the good work :D

  • wow a taylor guitar

  • Helemaal top.

Dit is nou "echt" gitaar spelen. Goed gedaan man.

  • top stuff

  • Wow, good job!

  • Now that's a guy who can play guitar! And such a beautiful song

  • Excellent. It's not note-accurate but that doesn't matter at all. What's more important is that you made the piece your own. I'd rather listen to a cover done in this way than one that was more faithful to the recording.

  • absolutely there's no right hand finger stopping but such a unique cover it doesn't matter

  • this is really good playing... for this song, I think the finger muting does matter (read the stropes transcription), but still this kicks ass. good work.

  • what amazes me is that you can do the 12th fret harmonic slapping part on all downstrums... check out what hedges' right hand is doing during that part in the video of him playing it, he's using his thumb to hit the bass notes and is flicking the strings with his middle finger

  • articulation needs a little TLC, but I like your interpretation!

  • Good job! I love the fact that younger people are discovering Hedges.

  • I really like it.
