An excellent rendition and explanation of Shankarabharanam raga. Mr. Varama is very divine and it would be ohnor and pleasure to learn music from this Guru
Even in casual conversation, the insights and observations Varmaji casually comes out with are SO amazing, which was how I got hooked onto Carnatic music itself in the first place, though mainly Varmaji's music and through him,
@musiquebox I had the opportunity to hear Vermajis interview and his knowlege of karnatic music. His humility has touched me .I love to sing if i did not have any liabilities in life i would have left every thing here in UK and gone to this great guru and given myself to be his student.i am a Christian but music has no religion I wis all my blessings to Vermaji.
Yes ! I agree with you 100% Srkris! I vaguely remember some time back there was a project where Varma Sir was involved in creating a compilation of different ragas. Musiquebox Ji would you be able to verify, please?
This is superb!!!!One cant find a better teacher than him.I pray that more and more people get a chance to learn under Prince, the ocean of knowledge!!
As a teacher Varmaji is unbelievable! I am sure even the most ordinary person alien to classical music will identify and appreciate Shankarabharanam after listening to this!
Do you have one for thodi too? if so please do so

I agree with all the three comments totally.

the music of a few of his heros.

Very interesting. I wish this programme all success, and hope Sri Varma continues this for all major ragas.
