You're basically an ex-special detective in a Serial Crimes Unit, or something of that genre. And a serial killer is on the loose, and you need to just find out where he is, I guess. So you go through different areas, and little side things happen, etc. I have the game, I just haven't beaten it yet.

Some times I don't even bother with the TVs or radios, because I'm too paranoid that someone will come up behind when I'm done, like in Rock Bottom with Van Horn. So, I just run through the level, killing people, and try to avoid getting scared. :)

rent it, play through singleplayer. be prepared as sometimes the game mechanics can really annoy you. for instance, not being able to run forward because of a cardboard box lying on the floor right in front of you, while exploding babies and/or metal junkies wail on you impossibly fast. Or getting a headache from the game getting all staticy during the SCU lvl.

also, if you want a good scare, just play through until you get to the rabid bear level, from then on its a straight path of bum killin
