Correct. Quality of life and qulity of products and services in USA today are whatever they can get away with. Not the best of anyones actual ability. People eat rubbish not ment for human consumption. US cars are squeeky plastic built in third world shitholes, schools are worse than ex soviet states, its 2012 and americans have no healthcare, politicians are desperately conservative, biblethumping fools. But they keep waving those flags for the red white and screwed.
But, in all fairness, most people don't eat rubbish, US Cars are mostly built in the US or Canada, and many, if not most, of our public schools are world class.
The biggest problem we have today, IMHO, is too much Corporate (Capital) involvement in our politics.
Until their influence (money) is significantly reduced from our political process, things won't change much.

In a sense, America no longer has it's so called "freedom" their government has promised them. The constitution no longer protects anyone, and everyone is still blind enough to think they still have true freedom. If I have to be sent to prison for speaking against my country, so be it. @Janusha Yes, the evolution thing is true. That's actually a major pet peeve of mine. They don't understand it, because it's not taught reliably. It's glossed over so as not to "offend" anyone. Looking at some of these responses, I'd say they could've saved quite a lot of money just having a black screen with the words "LIBRLS BADD" and gotten the same reaction.
Rampant capitalistic recklessness has lead to a significant portion of this country becoming extremely disillusioned with our government representatives.
Corporate influence mongering has co-opted the democratic processes within the United States government, and that threatens to stain the sanctity of American law even more so than we already have to endure.
Americans have always harbored a deep distrust in their own government. And perhaps rightly so.... IMF. Youknow the International Monetary Fund. The ones that recently downgraded americas credit rating. They say USA is less of a democracy and more of a Plutocracy. An entity built entirely around supporting the upper few% that owns 95% of americas wealth. If you had any sense, you would rise as one and slay them. Instead 47 million poor sit at home cooking meth on foodstamps.
So basically a total waste of 10 minutes of my life.
Furthermore, 10 minutes of valuable internet time that could be taken away on account of the media businesses having all that control over the state. Thanks, Capitalism. That sure is a lot of freedom.

I agree that it's propaganda against communism. But instead of talking about the practical differences between communism and freedom, they should have just focused on the 2nd amendment. That will protect us from communism better than anything else. If it's gone, so is our freedom. But they were too statist to think of that, or to mention that communism and fascism are two sides to the same tyrannical coin.
This is very political. Is 'free enterprise system' the same as 'capitalism', because capitalism is an 'ism' in the sense that it actually has an 'ism' in it. I'm not knocking capitalism, but just wanted to point that out (and alot of cartoons then were propoganda. Even some cartoons now are propoganda).

Charity is not the legislative duty of government. It should merely help those who can't look after themselves and not those who have the ability to look after themselves but are too lazy too.

The biggest problem we have today, IMHO, is too much Corporate (Capital) involvement in our politics.

In a sense, America no longer has it's so called "freedom" their government has promised them. The constitution no longer protects anyone, and everyone is still blind enough to think they still have true freedom. If I have to be sent to prison for speaking against my country, so be it. Our words practically fall upon deaf ears, with the exception of them only hearing us tell them of their treachery.

I'm disappointed they didn't touch on nationalism. That to me is the most dangerous. I've toured the US and Europe - and I can say from first hand experience that aside from language, Western culture is, in fact all cultures are, pretty homogeneous. The French do bathe, the British aren't snobs, Germans aren't mean, Americans aren't all crazy. Just like genetics, there's more difference within a population than between populations. That's what's most important to remember.

@Janusha Yes, the evolution thing is true. That's actually a major pet peeve of mine. They don't understand it, because it's not taught reliably. It's glossed over so as not to "offend" anyone. I thought it was pretty funny when the cartoon talked about being well educated. To be honest I think it has to do with the religious evolution of the US, and the lack of church official theological organizations - even the Vatican unofficially accepts evolution now.

I don't know a single person who feels that the US is the best country in the world and according to recent polls, only about 25% of the population of the US genuinely believes such a thing. And even IF the case was that we were all like the stereotype so ignorantly believe, that still doesn't answer my question about WHY everyone feels the need to CONSTANTLY make a huge deal out of everything to do with America.

USA is here to stay, we are the overll greatest country to ever exist in human history. This military around the world har largely outplayed its role and today serves only to bankrupt america. There are no invading armies out there to fight.
As for poverty... There are 50 million poor in america and 1 in 40 are in the prison system. This represents a major strain on the US econoly. In China its different. The poor are living money-less lives where they are self sustained in villages the way they have been for centuries. They arent hungry walking the streets with guns.

I agree that it's propaganda against communism. But instead of talking about the practical differences between communism and freedom, they should have just focused on the 2nd amendment. That will protect us from communism better than anything else. If it's gone, so is our freedom.
