I bout one of these off eBay a couple of days ago, but haven't quite managed to get my hands on an amp yet, but my pickups look a bit funny

The higher one is quite wobbly and the lower is quite high out of the guitar

Is this normal?

I have it in black.. and it sounds fucking amazing, smooth as butter. Love it, and i use it all the time! :D Soon getting a Gibson Melody Maker SG though, so yeah xD

i have a 310, only thing original is the pots. diff epiphone pickups, all gold hardware. it now sounds and plays better than my buddys gibson studio.

I've been playing acoustic for about a year now and I really wanna branch out to electric, but I'm stuck between a strat and a SG. Which would be a better 1st electric?

I play at church so I need a mellow blendable sound, but I also wanna rock a lil at home.

@Josiahjjr Hi! sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I also play in my church band and I use this guitar. If you are looking for a brighter sound, Something not as heavy, you sould go with the strat. But if you want something a little stronger sounding, go with the sg. Between my SG and the Strat in the backgound of the video, I personally think the SG sounds much better, for either church or rocking out! I highly recommend this model of the SG. I hope this helps you in your decision!

@Josiahjjr I don't know if you are still looking for a guitar or not, but if you are looking for an SG just go ahead and get the G-400 (if you don't want to wait for a Gibson)with the G-400 you get more for the money and it will remain in your possession, I have had the 310 and the 400 and I got rid of my 310 in a year, I still have and play my 400 because it is honestly a nice guitar (I do have a Gibson SG that I play more) just giving my opinion

@b0xninja Yeah, I did eventually get a straplock. I made this video almost right after I got it so i didn't get straplocks right away. I just love this guitar, and you are right, i DO NOT want it breaking!

its not the strings. its the action fix that and the hum noise will go away

It was supposed to be thick. Or else it'll not match your nut. It'll also cut your sustain. According to my experience. And it sounds more better than thin ones. I've tried it. And it's good if you have both thin and thick.
