Im quite dissappointed in our fellow man! Im pretty sure God is the only one who can judge and it is not up to you to do so! God loves us all no matter what and as should we!  I think God would be dissappointed in you all for being hateful. We should spend time worrying about how WE are living our lives in God's eyes and quit worrying about everyone else!! The Mystery Men take the Biblically Correct position that homosexuality is a sinful state of being. What sort of love would it be if we allowed our fellow man to be condemned to hell without saying a word?

@James0829 Hell is a pagan myth that was adopted by Christianity, much like the idea of Jesus being born on December 25th and other beliefs.

The Jews, "God's chosen people," don't believe in eternal damnation because their scriptures contain no such concept. It wasn't until the Catholic Church came along with their new & improved "New Testament" that this silly idea of a god who loves you more than anything (but will torture you forever if you don't follow the right religion) came into play.

@James0829 My comments demonstrate no more "silliness" or "ignorance" than yours or that of this band. You both cite nature to oppose gay marriage, yet ignore the lack of marriage in nature. You cite the Bible, yet ignore the polygamy within it. You cite procreation, yet don't oppose marriage for people who cannot, or don't want to, procreate.

In short, what we're seeing here are the usual hopelessly flawed arguments against gay marriage in a more entertaining form.

I wish there were no social pressure at all, but if I have to choose, I prefer to put it against homophoby, in order to defend freedom of behaviour. No hatred, though.

I was born in a Christian society, read the New Testament, and agree with many Christian values. But sincerely, I don't think God spoke out within every single of the Bible's lines, and I don't think He / She is against homosexuality.

Sex has not only reproductive goals, is funny too. Is that bad? I don't think so

Years ago many would have ignorantly clapped to a song about woman having no rights, encouraging slavery, or better yet how about a song that talks about beating your disrespectful child to death or rightfully beating your wife on your wedding night if she's not a virgin. How about writing and performing a song about eating shrimp, an abomination and also in the Bible. As I stated in my previous text, it would be nice if this song were about bringing Gods children together, not dividing them.

@anjela1981 Since a woman is born a woman and a man is born a man, I agree that they are equal. There were songs written about blacks being kept in slavery, they were born black and therefore should be equal. A disrespectful child is an embarrassment to his parents and deserves punishment, though not beaten to death. Homosexuality is a choice, therefore a sin. They are bringing God's children together to speak out against a sin. Mosaic law was fulfilled by Christ, but the sin remains.

There are many instances in the last few years of blind intolerance and hatred against Christians some that comes from the halls of our own congress in direct opposition to our Constitution. This document says that you and I have the right to disagree on subject.

Everywhere, from the strongly conservative south to the northeast, California and Canada, there has been standing ovation after standing ovation. Those who take issue with the song are primarily those who are supportive of the lifestyle or openly engaged in it. In direct contradiction with scripture.

I find that there are certain species that given a certain set of circumstances will engage in homosexual behavior. Absolutely none reproduce that way. Perhaps it would prove more beneficial to write/sing, "Come on in to the University and get an education" as sadly, God would never clap along with such a disgusting and perverted attempt to twist the gospel. I am not going to get into Biblical debates but a literalistic point of view is a narrow point of view. Why not sing about how you beat and killed your wife on your wedding night because she wasn't a virgin - Biblically encouraged. I love God and ALL his children. Please pray. God bless

@trappermark Displaying homosexual behavior and being homosexual are two different things. A person may exhibit stereotypical homosexual traits and be totally heterosexual. That is why I have always contended that homosexuality is a choice. There is nothing to dissuade from that conclusion.
