@CaraIain I suggest that you stretch your hair first by braiding. Use a pintail comb to part. Also use some clips to hold hair into place. Have two mirrors and a good lighting so you can see the back. I might make a video about that. Hope this helps.
@atinawaya Ah, this hair is too short to braid, apparently even experienced hairdressers have trouble on his hair. Thanks for the suggestions, but he'll have to wait until his hair is longer! Thanks!
I have a pretty short hair, and I'm white. (Not that it has anything to do with it, but my hair is different, you know) Do you think I'll be able to do it though? I tried making corn rows in my hair, but I just can't seem to do it D:
Lovely as usual... I wish I were so adept at protective styling as you are. I cannot corn row to save my life, and I just learned how to flat twist, but it is as sloppy as ever! LOL
@OnyxKajal lol... It was hard for me to cornrow my hair for a long time. I practiced so many times and I believe I am just starting to know how to cornrow. Thanks for watching
how do you keep your part so straight without looking with another mirror? Im having trouble parting my own hair!

I have a really hard time separating hair thats too short to be clipped aside, so my rows get all squiggly. Any suggestions?

@jamaicaboy544 sorry for the late reply. I guess about three inches. I think if you can twist your hair then u should be able to cornrow

@NannaLaurie I suggest you wwait till your hair gets long enough. Because it is short and probably straight, it may be hard to cornrow

Nice! How are you able to part straight in the back?
jwmerine 1 year ago
@jwmerine I used two mirrors, the mirrors were positioned in such a way that allowed me to see the back of my head

Really cute Tinuke. That's great braiding your own hair. It helps a great deal! :)
