I love all of the Metallica albums. I love the first 4 because its Metallica's true thrash days. The Black Album was good, but not them. Load and ReLoad are good but, showed a different side of Metallica (For better or for worse depending). St. Anger is personally a fav. I hate no solo's but, take Some Kind of Monster and look how that is a thrash anthem. And Death magnetic just about takes me back to the original first 4. All bands change a bit to mix things up.

Ok you say that Metallica died with Cliff, yet Black Album has sold more than any other Metallica album and Death Magnetic was one of the most looked foward to albums of all time by any band and it, while not as good as Master of Puppets or Reload or Black Album, did not dissapoint at all.
