@amorgieful: Dear Psychiatric, Elizabeth Taylor, for many years of her physical life, exuded a particular type of female white facial attractiveness that for the most part, as already much detailed and lauded in those of my numerous other posts, rated "lovely", if not almost exquisite -- which Hedy La Marr's features, while of a like ilk to Taylor's, attained, it can be said, with the aid of make-up and great lighting and camera angles -- eternal beauty on celluloid -- a higher perfection.
@amorgieful: that said, it can be noted that both possessed attractive, too, though not perfectly almond-shaped, eyes, and that both, especially Taylor, projected ill-defined or utterly weak eyebrow-bone formation; whereas eg, Grace Kelly and Ava Gardner possessed arched eyebrow-bones & almond-shaped eyes, with Kelly grand-slamming, with large eyes. Neither La Marr nor Taylor fared quite so well on those scores. Taylor, nose job or not, best ed all in profile, sans weak mandibular ie, jawline

@frickadele ...people are people, they choose their life,,AS LONG AS SHE MADE IT RIGHT WITH GOD, THAT IS ALL THAT MATTER,,HE LOVES US ALL, AND NONE OF US IS PERFECT, HE IS WORKING ON ALL OF US,
Giving Liz Taylor credit for her beauty... is like her being born on third base... and thinking she hit a triple. Give Liz's parents the cudo's... for Liz being beautiful. Are Liz's kids beautiful? If not.... then Liz's beautiful didn't do squat for her kids. btw: Being born beautiful is a curse. It's like being born rich... and growing poor. Think about it.
Magnifique reine de l'ecran qui a impose sa personnalite, son talent et sa beaute dans la vie quotidienne des gens. J'ai trop de choses à dire sur ce qu'elle m'a apporte... Sois en paix.
Liz, what a Dame. A woman for all time, but she certainly left her mark on the 20th Century. Loyal, caring, unpretentious, open/honest, brave, full of life/spirit, talented actress, fascinating, real, magnetic, and a "superstar" when that term really meant something. Both my grandmothers were named Elizabeth, and Heaven just received another angel named Liz.
There are no actresses who could match her today. She could do sexy and pouty. She could do classy. She could do innocent and pretty. She could do wild and brash.
She was one of a kind. There has never been, nor ever will be, anyone like her.
3rd most beautiful woman ever my gaze has set upon... Elizabeth you live on forever in your legendary performances. Powerful to have another deceased Legend narrate this tribute.
RIP sweet lady. A true legend and a real star that we will never see again. It's the end of an era. She did so much for so many people especially with the charity work involving HIV and AIDS. She was so amazingly beautiful inside and out. Gone but never forgotten always in our hearts.
So sad. Last night I was compelled to watch Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (again). I guess the universe knew something... I watched in awe... stunning beauty, tremendous talent. Pure class. The world is a little less bright tonight as a we mourn the loss of one of Hollywood's greatest stars. But she will forever shine in the hearts of her fans and the legacy left behind. A true inspiration. Thanks for all you, Ms. Taylor, did as an entertainer and even more as a true humanitarian. You will be missed.
"What is the victory of a cat on a hot tin roof, Maggie?" Stayin on it long as she can...Absolutely immortal! Next to "Pygmalion" one of my fav plays.
I just read that they are already shopping around actresses to play her in a bio pic. Truth be told, I can't see any current modern day actress playing her. Maybe they should just leave that one alone.
@Fishercherrlynn I'm with you, brother. I just cannot imagine who is alive today who could possibly duplicate her inner and outer beauty and grace. My, oh, my what this true lady has gone through in her life and how brave she was and loyal as a friend to many, too. I admire her greatly. I was always among those who were in awe of her looks but I truly became an admirer when she stood by the side of Rock Hudson and Michael Jackson. The lady had class and more intestinal fortitude than mot guys.
@Fishercherrlynn I fully agree on that! She said it herself: ''No one is going to play Elizabeth Taylor besides Elizabeth Taylor herself.'' It doesn't mean that because she's dead that whole Hollywood can go and make a lot of money out of this. All those shameless and greedy people. I wouldn't watch the movie. You can imitate her, but not act like you ARE her. I you want to see her alive then go and watch her movies.
@Fishercherrlynn i totally agree!! noone would do her justice and why should they??! why cant hollywood just leave her alone and let her be remembered through our memories of her, rather than using her death as an excuse to make more money...
Rest In Peace Dame Taylor. You will forever live on in the hearts of film fans everywhere. You are truly a legend in every sense of the form and you will be missed.
"TCM Remembers" on Elizabeth Taylor is already airing. This is the fastest they've ever did this. RIP to Elizabeth (she hated "Liz", so I'll respect that). She was truly the Last Movie Star.
@iTzeXile13 are you saying he should've left Joanne Woodward to marry Liz who was a dear friend of hers and infact the two actresses share a birthday. not only were he & Joanne just married when he made Cat with Liz but she had just miscarried their first child so leaving to make the movie was excruitatingly painful for him
She is one of the last if not the last great star of hollywoods golden era. The only others I can think of would be: Jane Russell, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Shirley Temple, Lauren Bacall & Doris Day.
I like how Paul Newman mentions Elizabeth Taylor's Ferocity, their is no better example than her blistering and devastating performance in Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf where she rightfully won an Oscar. Elizabeth Taylor is that rare example of a true movie Star, who is also an Incredibly talented actress.
how can they make a tribute to liz taylor and not mention "who's afraid of virginia woolf", not only her best performance, but one of the best performances ever given?
Wow,how great to hear such marvellous Words, spoken by one of the greatest Actors the world has ever seen,he who always has been a great Gentle-Man,about my favourite Actress.I wish she is well and healthy as one can be,but more than everything else,i hope she enjoys a marvellous time with her family and is happy with herself, despite all possibly occuring difficulties.
If they ever make a film about Elizabeth Taylor (Which I hope they do) I think they should cast Katy Perry as Elizabeth... The resemblance between the two is remarkable.... i think.... (They look alike, and seem to be very kind people)
i just got done watching cat on a hot tin roof and i gotta say tht movie was made at the perfect time for elizabeth, i think paul newman n her shouldve got married
She has not let her own tragedies defer her form helping others . Her loyalty to the people she holds dear is an example on the true meaning of life that is sacred. That tomorrow is promised to no one. That life is a gift even tho it maybe brief not always a smooth ride ,she is there. I am glad that Michael had such a true friend till his passing. May we all have such a person in our lives.Or be that person for some one else. Thank you Elizabeth .
She's beautiful inside and out...she's a gracious Moviestar(not many can be found these days)....blessed with great talent...most importantly a tireless humanitarium. And lastly, she gave my Idol Jimmy Dean a cat so to not be lonely......Love Her!
thanks for the upload she's one of my favorite actresses as well though there are two that rank above her those being Sophia Loren & none other than Joanne Woodward whom Liz shares a birthday with and was the one that beat her out of her first oscar nomination
PeterFirthFan loves Elizabeth Taylor. This person surfs Youtube looking at all her videos and leaves comments. It's ashame the person can't communicate any better. Sad
She has won the Oscar twice. She has transformed from a violet-eyed child star in "National Velvet," to a diamond-collecting Diva, Elizabeth Taylor, now 77, has earned her place as a beauty and style icon. She has survived the 40's, 50's, and 60,s of film making, of fame. No one will ever have a career like Elizabeth Taylor. I don't think we will ever see the likes of her again.
I agree with Newman's tribute, and I believe Elizabeth Taylor shines in every movie she's in. Even if she hates a role, like she did with BUtterfield 8, she never lets you know it because her talent outshines her opinion in that movie. She is able to step up, push buttons, take risks, and rise up to the challenge. And, her peers love her.
Love Elizabeth so much! What a STAR.

"What is the victory of a cat on a hot tin roof, Maggie?" Stayin on it long as she can...Absolutely immortal! Next to "Pygmalion" one of my fav plays.

"What is a victory of a cat on a hot tin roof?"
"Jus stayin on it as long as she can".
Absolutely immortalizing and invigorating.

I just read that they are already shopping around actresses to play her in a bio pic. Truth be told, I can't see any current modern day actress playing her. Maybe they should just leave that one alone.
Fishercherrlynn 10 months ago 82
@Fishercherrlynn I'm with you, brother. I just cannot imagine who is alive today who could possibly duplicate her inner and outer beauty and grace. My, oh, my what this true lady has gone through in her life and how brave she was and loyal as a friend to many, too. I admire her greatly. I was always among those who were in awe of her looks but I truly became an admirer when she stood by the side of Rock Hudson and Michael Jackson. The lady had class and more intestinal fortitude than mot guys.
blewis9505 10 months ago 5
@Fishercherrlynn I fully agree on that! She said it herself: ''No one is going to play Elizabeth Taylor besides Elizabeth Taylor herself.'' It doesn't mean that because she's dead that whole Hollywood can go and make a lot of money out of this. All those shameless and greedy people. I wouldn't watch the movie. You can imitate her, but not act like you ARE her. I you want to see her alive then go and watch her movies.
VthatsME 10 months ago
@Fishercherrlynn Noone can play Ms Taylor. They should leave it alone. They tried that with Garbo and Audrey
Hepburn and it did not work. Some things should be left alone.
rpchambon 10 months ago
@Fishercherrlynn Who? There are no Hollywood actresses nowadays who weigh over 100 pounds.
arielgirl 10 months ago
@Fishercherrlynn
They'll probably use Megan Fox. She sort of has that Taylor/Jane Russel `structured' face.
brightlights456X 9 months ago
@Fishercherrlynn I agree 100%.. just like she said, only Elizabeth Taylor can play Elizabeth Taylor...

@Fishercherrlynn Wynona Ryder has always been extremely underrated and deserves to have a come back!!

@Fishercherrlynn Agreed
Ashleoodle 7 months ago
@Fishercherrlynn i totally agree!! noone would do her justice and why should they??! why cant hollywood just leave her alone and let her be remembered through our memories of her, rather than using her death as an excuse to make more money...

I love Liz & Paul so much! They are both some of my favourite actors.
Elizabeth's such an amazing beauty that anyone is ever going to exceed, and a great talent from wich many actresses of today should learn.
And Paul Newman, he was wonderful as well!
dani9714 1 year ago
She is one of the last if not the last great star of hollywoods golden era. The only others I can think of would be: Jane Russell, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Shirley Temple, Lauren Bacall & Doris Day.

I like how Paul Newman mentions Elizabeth Taylor's Ferocity, their is no better example than her blistering and devastating performance in Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf where she rightfully won an Oscar. Elizabeth Taylor is that rare example of a true movie Star, who is also an Incredibly talented actress.
linny50 1 year ago
how can they make a tribute to liz taylor and not mention "who's afraid of virginia woolf", not only her best performance, but one of the best performances ever given?

Wow,how great to hear such marvellous Words, spoken by one of the greatest Actors the world has ever seen,he who always has been a great Gentle-Man,about my favourite Actress.I wish she is well and healthy as one can be,but more than everything else,i hope she enjoys a marvellous time with her family and is happy with herself, despite all possibly occuring difficulties.

(This may be a stupid thing to say)
If they ever make a film about Elizabeth Taylor (Which I hope they do) I think they should cast Katy Perry as Elizabeth... The resemblance between the two is remarkable.... i think.... (They look alike, and seem to be very kind people)
Thanks for putting this up :)

It aired this tribute again on Wednesday. They were having a Paul Newman day in honour of his birthday, I guess.
She truly was stunning and an amazing actress.

She's beautiful inside and out...she's a gracious Moviestar(not many can be found these days)....blessed with great talent...most importantly a tireless humanitarium. And lastly, she gave my Idol Jimmy Dean a cat so to not be lonely......Love Her!
crisgal710 2 years ago 6
thanks for the upload she's one of my favorite actresses as well though there are two that rank above her those being Sophia Loren & none other than Joanne Woodward whom Liz shares a birthday with and was the one that beat her out of her first oscar nomination

PeterFirthFan loves Elizabeth Taylor. This person surfs Youtube looking at all her videos and leaves comments. It's ashame the person can't communicate any better. Sad
feelgoodaboutit 2 years ago 7
