What are the cymbal types that are easiest to choke, but pretty durable? Example: Fast crash, thin, etc... Because I have a medium crash and it's pretty thick, and hard to choke.

i have a serious question how do you hit the cimbal with the tip or with the body of the stick???? i dont wna fuck up my ZBT

Either man, it wont really fuck your cymbal hitting with either if u hit really hard with the body it will do it faster, tip is for lighter more precise hits, body is for louder eg playing a heavy beat with constant crash. Hope this helps man!

Aha, I bought a 14" ZBT crash when I started out. It's the most horribly noisy bastard ever.. but works well being used as the bottom half of a hi-hat, oddly ^_^

its kinda easier when you choke it with the same hand because your hand is already there and you dont have to move the other hand at all and you can play another stroke with that free hand.
