Great video. It is good to get a video every day. Keep it up guys. Love your work. We are so lucky in Sydney to have such a festival. I went to the Emmylou Harris concert last night at the State Theatre. It was fabulous. She IS fabulous !! THANK YOU SYDNEY FESTIVAL .
This event has been terrible since 08', bring back the proper djs and dance music for the younger scene rather than choose all the acts no one cares and wants to know about!
@fluffygutss by young i mean people under 30 who will dance to anything with a nice beat, all im saying is when Fuzzy organised a few artists, sydney fest was alot lot better than now.
Idiot. Just because you can dance to "anything with a nice beat" doesn't mean we should all be subject to the generic garbage spewed forth from clubs and stadiums every single night. The Becks lineup has Henrik Schwarz, Garth & Harvey. The Becks lineup has Wire. The festival has Philip Glass. Go back to Tank if you don't like it. It's not for you and everyone who realises the relevance of so many of these acts appreciate the festival more than you can imagine.
Nobody seems to give a damn about all the people who do care, those who volunteer their time and effort and the thousands of attendees who actually had a great opening time.
The whole thing stinks of taxpayer funded scheme to claim the identity of Sydney for the inner urban 'counter-culture'.
It is a shame the orgainsers can never find it in themselves to be more accepting of the true cross-section of the city and invite more popular acts and styles.
@anuthutantrum I tried, I tried so hard to enjoy it....but when the guy on the Palm stage at 7pm started parodying a Nickelback song with lyrics about "cavemen falling in love" we had no choice but to retreat to the pub.
The Sydney Festival has turned into something designed by a dog-collar-wearing middle-aged menopausal women with an axe to grind against popular Australian culture.

Terrible organization, nobody told us Orkestra del Sol was not going to perform where it was supposed to, so upset.
